When You Scream At Police For Helping The Elderly

Bodycam footage captured the pursuit by FWC officers as they chased down a driver who had confronted them on the highway while they were assisting an elderly couple with a tire change. During the tire change, a dark-colored van passed the marked FWC vehicles and disabled vehicle closely, with the driver yelling at the officers for being in the road. The officers decided to conduct a traffic stop on the van. After following the vehicle for about two blocks with lights and sirens activated, the driver finally stopped. Upon exiting the van, the driver engaged in a verbal altercation with the officers, disregarding their commands to return to the vehicle and raise his hands. Despite being informed that he was under arrest, the driver resisted, prompting the officers to attempt to restrain him physically. During the struggle, the driver attempted to grab one of the officer's tasers. Despite being drive-stunned multiple times, he continued to resist until eventually complying with the officers' commands to be handcuffed. EMS was called to assess the driver's condition, who showed signs of impairment, including the odor of cannabis and extreme mood swings. The driver requested to be taken to the hospital, and an officer accompanied EMS for the ride. Once medically cleared, the driver was read implied consent and asked to submit to a urine test, initially refusing but eventually consenting. A urine sample was collected and sent to the PCSO Lab for testing. The driver was then transported to the PCSO jail and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting with violence, and DUI, in addition to receiving three traffic citations.

I was an EMT. We had several accidents involving people not moving over, stopping right in front of our ambulance and pulling out in front of us. We had one person go into cardiac arrest, while a person wouldn’t move out of our path. That person was held responsible for the man’s death. MOVE OUT OF THE WAY FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES! Police, EMS, Firefighters are just trying to do their jobs. I applaud these cops for helping this couple. That’s not something that happens a lot these days. A reason for that is rude people causing problems like this dummy!

Just an FYI... I have lived in Florida for 27 years. As someone who loves to fish, I have had good interactions with FWC. HOWEVER... I'm always polite, courteous, and have my sh*t together. Always check my fire extinguisher, always have my DL, always have my fishing license, always have my boat registration up to date... Zero issues. I was a professional skateboarder for 10 years, covered literally head to toe in a full bodysuit tattoo, so I knew it wasn’t just my pain tolerance.

You have to get over and leave one lane between you and emergency vehicles. He did not do that. You hear him trying to defend himself by saying it's hard to merge over. Well, they were on a straight long section of road, so he's seen those blue lights from a long ways off, unless maybe he's too drunk to do that, in which case he's even more of a danger driving right pass them so close. He's the very reason why that law exists. It is a law, he broke it, and now the police are enforcing that law, case closed.

@@AnoraJohnson you do not understand the law......he was in the #2 lane.....the stopped car and the cops were in the #3 lane.....if you watch the video the #1 lane was wide open when the van passed so he had plenty of room to move over.....you somehow fail to understand that the law is not to move out of the lane the cars are IN (as if you need a law for that) the law is to move over and give a CLEAR lane between the stopped car and your moving car.....there were other cars that did not move over from the #2 lane to the #1 lane, but those cars had a car in the #1 lane next to them so they were not able to move over.......also abdual clearly stated that the speed limit was 45mph and there was no chance he was going 25mph which is extremely slow and much slower than he was moving in the video......lastly when you say he "moved back over" his right tire was ON the the first white line after the stopped car so he was purposely moving into the #3 lane as close as possible to the stopped cars after failing to move to the #1 lane as required by law and instead staying in the #2 lane and being very close to the stopped cars so he could yell

Also, as a thirty year old that’s had two major back surgeries, it’s given me the ability to decipher when people are blatantly lying about back related injuries. Yes, slipped discs can be considered moderate pain, but in a lot of cases, it’s utterly crippling. the reason they IMMEDIATELY arrested him was NOT because he yelled "get the eff outta the road puuussy" or whatever other absolute burn of an insult he was able to shout at the cops as he drove by. he got arrested bc he didnt pull over for like 2-3 mins, made the cop dejectedly say "stop the vehicle" 2+3 times thru the loudspeaker and then when he stopped, decided to pop out of his car and start yelling shit while putting his hands in and out of his pockets multiple times like its a tic lmfaoooooo AAAHHHH OMFG LMFAO "they pulled me over for nothing i didn't do anything wrong someone help me i didnt do anythinggggg" ::doorslam::: thank you officers lololol

Freedom of speech doesn't cover disobeying the move over law just like it doesn't cover using your car as a weapon against the police teh driver is legally required by Florida state law to move over for stopped emergency vehicles with flashing lights on
