Another film that includes elements of the Hanged Man motif is the original Predator. The godlike alien hunter invariably hangs and skins his victims, incorporating the flaying of Marsyas by the archer Apollo. The hero must also undergo a promethean journey in which he is thrown down from a great height (physically, and metaphorically by losing his technology and his brothers-in-arms), then has a katabasis in which he crawls through and wallows in the mud like a verminous critter. He then creates new weapons, including a lot of fire. I am not convinced that things like this are intentionally put in films according to specific plans by the artists and writers, but at a minimum it explains why some films are successful and some aren't. If you adhere to the perennial tropes, you take the express lane to the realms of meaning and significance with the viewers.

@@didymussumydid9726 Much agreed. Very good example. I think at times these are deliberate motifs, but it is also true that the "muses" will speak through the artist without his permission. The archetypes will erupt from anything if we stare long enough.

The Kennedy angle is especially interesting. Shadow rulers are more than plausible. Have you read Robert Sepehr’s booklet “1666: Redemption Through Sin”? He describes the rise of the Sabbatians as the real subversive faction in our midst who’s MO is secrecy and infiltration
@Catholic-Perennialist3 ай бұрын
The chance that so many Kennedys die early, under strange circumstances, with no body recovered or buried in a closed casket , is not statistically probable. That they could be crypto-hebrews ruling clandestinely would fit Sepehr's thesis about the Sabbateans because they famously will adopt whatever religion will help them secure power. Kennedy was also a philanderer in the extreme which again supports the transgressive doctrine of Sabbattae Zivi. I'm beginning to believe that the secret government is fighting to become the visible government once again, and that the true rift is between the steward kings and the secret kings.

Pledging fealty to the tribe seems to just be a cost of doing business. Any ammount of political latitude may be granted to the "friends of Israel," but the Democratic party is now the home of so many anti-semites that the preferred party my shift solidly Republican in the near future. @@exquofonte

What do you think of Manly P Hall's book 'the Secret Destiny of America'? Hall was an honorary 33rd° mason, so I take his opinions seriously, but when he starts talking about a future universal democratic government I get the feeling he is high on the fumes of WWII Allied optimism...

@@exquofonte He's very much a product of that time when a man could hope that a US led world order would be an Atlantis revived. I have not read that book, but I own it. I can't comment on its thesis yet, but if it is at all similar to the Secret Teachings then I'd say he suffers from a belief in inevitable progress. He even stated in Secret Teaching of All Ages that mankind began as androgynous and will ultimately resume this form. I doubt that the man-made horrors currently on display is something he would countenance, but those who push this agenda, I believe, are attempting to fulfill that prediction.

I'm with Spengler concerning democracy; that it really functions as a clearing house to launder policy from a manufactured concensus. In reality, few voters are capable of independent political thought and are really choosing between two options gifted to them by the establishment. Voting is an exercise in pacification. True progress would be the arrival of a philosopher king.
