@Catholic-PerennialistКүн бұрын
@@questioneverything55 I've never actually read steiner on the gospels, but I've no doubt imbibed something from other contemporary authors. I think the entire NT can be understood as a hermetic/kabbalistic corpus, with Christ and his Mary's taking the central role as hermetic psychopomps.

Funny, because they all reduced the "bible," as there were hundreds of texts that didn't make it because of what became the world's largest dictatorial cult in the world. Never mind all the texts they destroyed because they didn't fit their agenda, and forged texts by them. Thankfully, some of these had been found because some people had the presence of mind to bury them. We even saw a modern version of this. When the DSS were found, the two main control groups glommed onto them, and it took over 40 years before a major facsimile was released after years of propaganda about the community that lived there. I can't stand organized religion. They are no different than the cancel culture of today, destroying stuff they don't like.

Are you still of the opinion that Yahweh cannot be the same god as Christ and His Father? Or has your study of more esoteric and kabbalistic ideas led you to a perspective where continuity of identity between the OT and NT manifestations of God seems more plausible? I ask because in some of your more recent videos, I think I've heard you express the idea that Jesus is an incarnation of Yahweh, but in a Hermetic manner that embodies balance between the Two Pillars. Personally, I think that the NT writers intended to represent Jesus as an incarnation of Yahweh within the overall narrative, but that neither He nor His Father are actually Yahweh, leading to the kinds of incongruencies you highlighted in this video. Nor do I think that Yahweh is actually God, though I think the Hebrew understanding of him develops towards something more and more like the Christian God as they approach the NT era. I've been listening through many of your videos back to back over the last couple weeks, and so many of the topics you address mirror the issues I've been wrestling with, but in a way that sheds new light on these issues for me. I've learned a great deal from your videos already. Thank you for sharing such profound engagement with these topics. 🙏

@@cosmicfrog612 This is a true Gordian knot. To put it bluntly, the yahweh of early judaism is an anthropomorphic archon who began to be conflated with the transcendent Father during and after the exile. There is a sense in which one can use Yahweh as a name for the Monad, tge ultimate divine essence, butbthis is borrowed from an earlier tradition which originally identified yahweh as the chief son of El. So, you may here me use the word Yahweh in these two very different senses without always defining what I mean. Very sorry. What makes this more difficult is that the NT authors are still confused about this In the 1st century. Jesus is called Lord on much the same sense that Yahweh was replaced with adonai in the septuagint. So there is a stream of NT thought which confirms Jesus as yahweh incarnate as margaret barker does, yet this is hard to reconcile with the actual character of yahweh. The gnostics are most honest when they identify yahweh as Satan, the God of this world, and the Father as the God above god. Jesus then becomes a challenger to Satan's kingship over the earth, which fits many Pauline passages (1 cor. 15), but is also flatly contradicted by parts of the synoptic gospels. I don't think that Jesus can be yahweh, but many did think he was. I don't think yahweh can be the father and is more likely satan. Jesus' place within the pillar structure has more to do with balance than theology. As such he is thematically between yahweh and lucifer, but this should not be taken literally. I hope this helps

As much as the two party system is a joke, what is striking is that despite on the surface this being a Republican administration its actually a Democratic one. Trump was a lifelong Democrat, Musk profile is Democrat (progressive tech), Kennedy of course synonymous with the Democrats. There is alo Tulsi Gabbard, a Democratic.

Eternal Father in Heaven, please heal this brother of all his infirmities. And bless his family, wife and kids. Amen. For myself, I take a powdered concoction of Magnesium, Zinc, Ginseng, Vitamin D, Niacin, & Borax. Helps with sleep, neuropathy, and arthritis. I slam it all into my morning mega-coffee. The amount of borax is very small (max 1/8 teaspoon), and I feel this has aided the health of my spine. Other notes: If you take too much zinc, then your copper can get too low, folic acid helps with zinc absorption, you can megadose on Vit. D without harm. Continued prayers for you...

I started off my Latin journey trying to be a LLPSI purist but after a bit I was realizing that I was just missing too much due to not understanding the subtleties that Mr. Ørberg was trying to put out there due to certain grammatical concepts being completely foreign to me (especially deponent verbs) or just not figuring out what a particular vocabulary word was from the context so funnily enough I ended up buying Wheelock for some grammar explanations (as well as using various other English resources) lol What I think a lot of the haters of Wheelock don't understand is that the point is to get you a good solid grasp of the grammar with experience with REAL LATIN (not just kid-friendly textbook Latin) before going on to doing extensive reading now that you have a solid base. And it's a fairly decent book that doesn't deserve the hate it gets. Lingua Latina also gives you a solid base with the grammar (if you actually understand it or consult outside resources as basically use LLPSI as a practice book) but I have found that once you finish the book, you realize that there is such a massive gap between real Latin and what you've been reading (as you can see from the many many posts on Reddit from other people), whereas at least with Wheelock and other translation methods (such as the old "transcribe a Latin passage and then translate it to English and then translate it back to Latin" method used for hundreds of years) you are more comfortable with diving into Caesar, Cicero, etc. because you've been exposed to their direct words throughout your Wheelock course. I ended up finishing Lingua Latina (partly through Roma Aeterna) because it is a valuable resource, but one shouldn't be so dogmatic in their approach to language learning. Nothing wrong with looking up words or reading grammar explanations in English. Similarly, with the grammar/translation method, after a certain point it's time to just read through vast amounts of texts and not be too worried about understanding every single word (stop translating!). The person reading 5,000 words of real Latin texts a day and understanding like 80% of it is going to go way further than the person reading like 500 words a day but knows every single word and can give a dissertation of the grammatical function of every single one of them.
