Hello Pete, I normally just lurk and watch but today I wondered if you had a reason to not take Italy early/mid game. To me it seems you had a strong claim on it, considering your capital position, the blizzard in North Africa sealing off an entrance and the fact that yellow and magenta were warring in the east. Why do you slider starting from under 3 troops to 3? You are telling on yourself that you are slider blitzing as other players can see your dice going up from 1 to 3 dice. Good players take note of that. I typically move my sliders down to where I feel confident it won't be under 3. Also, I try n be quick here cuz if you select a territory and you are not attacking for a while consistently enough can reveal that you are "slidering" to other players. Edit: also always slider on caps (they are broken)

The why is I'm terrible at the slider and I hate using it. Which I guess is an attitude problem. Once I wrap my head around accepting that it's the way it is I can earnestly focus on improving at the technique.

At the start when you had the set on 5 cards and knew that blue's cap was weak why not just put all you trade in cards on your cap and go punchier to take blue's capital then spilt your troops between your 2 caps 🤔

@@TheKillPeteStrategy followup question i know the 4 v 2 was risky but was there any reason outside that to not just finish off his last scandinavian position at 8:17 and avoid the counter punch from that side. I assume you probably wanted a guard against him punching into england for free but wouldnt it have been a lot riskier for him to try to muster an attack as he wouldnt have been able to guarantee a break on germany?

@@rockstermaniac this is entirely psychological. It forces him to either accept that I have the position or re raise. The path in was open from franch still so getting attacked on one side vs the other isn't all that meaningful. He called my bluff. He eventually did win the position. But lost the game.
