I’m the oldest (by 7, 11, and 16 years) of 4 girls and now I have 3 boys of my own. Seeing how my mother only bought me modest clothing and the one time my dad bought me a slightly more revealing outfit and heels, to trying to attract my now husband, she automatically took them away and explained why they weren’t appropriate (especially considering the context), vs how my sisters were allowed to dress and all the trouble they got into with boys; yes teaching modesty and self respect is important. Seeing how girls lust after boys my husband and I are also teaching our boys to dress modestly and be aware of how they present themselves in society. We have had both boys and girls in our families get caught in relationships that were built on physical aspects only and both boys and girls being SA by the opposite gender from anywhere from 11-18.

Love this. However, in reality, far too many women separate their men from their manhood by blocking his attempts to be a father. More often than not, Mom becomes self-absorbed and makes everything about her to the point where she receives Dad trying to correct behavior as judgment on her parenting skills. I was strict with my daughter about clothing she could wear, including the styles of her underwear, from the age of 13 years old. I enlisted the backup support of her longtime pediatrician to reinforce my daughter’s understanding of what was both appropriate and healthy. Her father loved her dearly but was very ill with a progressive degenerative neurological disease and actually had a form of dementia. When it comes to the life, health, and welfare if my daughter, my daughter stood no chance to opposing me.
