March 2005, God invited me to daily Mass and I took the invitation not knowing what is coming to my life. And 12 years of wilderness and suffering the only comfort was going to Mass and listen God's word and consume my Lord. And He worked marvels in my life and also my family. For me, Mass is everything, in Mass, I pray, read, sing and most importantly I consume my Lord who gives me all and also changed my whole being. As St. Paul said God's grace is enough. And now my oldest son is daily Mass goer too and I witness the power of Mass through him also. Praise the Lord!!!

You are never alone. Although it may feel like it, and I understand that because I too have felt it the Lord is always with us. He will never leave us alone unless we sent him away. Don’t do that know any darkest hour that he is there for you. He may actually be holding you and you don’t even realize it and that someone far away from you has read this and wants you to know that you are not alone.

what should i do if all i desire is to receive Him in the Eucharist, and i truly believe it is Him fully present as He said, but i am protestant and cannot receive the Eucharist? my heart breaks whenever i go to Mass and cannot receive Him sacramentally. and i need His graces particularly at this moment in my life, my mental health is detrimental to my ability to serve others as i am called.

Why isn't that part allegorical like Noah or Jonah?
@paulmiller34696 жыл бұрын
Some of the Bible is allegorical (typological), some of the Bible is moral, some of the Bible is forward looking even beyond the end of this world and some of the Bible is to be taken literally. Many verses contain truths within multiple categories of those 'senses.' The thing that struck the apostles and thus they taught to their followers over the following decades was Jesus' insistence on literalness during this discourse.

Jews have understood that Jesus called himself "bread od life" in a parable. Same thing goes with blood. They had to know Tora. It was obvious for them, that drinking blood was prohibited since end of The Flood (see Genesis 9:3-5). So therefore I would claim that Bible isn't mentioning Catholist's Eucharist. Apostle Paul says that after Jesus thanked God, bread remained bread and wine remained wine. They were not transformed into flesh and blood (see what Paul writes above 1 Cor. 11:26 and how Jesus claims that bread and wine remained untransformed). That made me think a while. Its good to know that if you are reading Bible.
@paulmiller34696 жыл бұрын
There is no way the Bread of Life discourse is a parable. That simply demonstrates an ignorance of definitions. The point of difference is whether it was intended by Jesus to be allegorical or literal; symbolic or a sign. The apostles took it as literal, though it was hard to understand how it could be literal. They taught the next generation of Christians that it was literal.
@paulmiller34696 жыл бұрын
St. Paul also talks about approaching the Bread in worthiness, discerning the Body, or else being culpable for His Crucifixion. Those are strong words and odd words if your argument is correct that St. Paul did not believe in the Real Presence. To me, it makes more sense that St. Paul did believe in the Real Presence of the Eucharist.

John 6:55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Jesus keeps repeating himself on this point, and describing its value to put emphasis on literal presence on the Eucharist. His promise shall not be denied as the 5,000 Jews who walked away, we must stand with Jesus as the 12 apostles did.
@lishmahlishmah6 жыл бұрын
alex krakowski. 5,000 ?? Where do you read the exact number?
@paulmiller34696 жыл бұрын
True, Elijah. But sometimes numbers can be part of the point. Jesus fed the multitudes twice during His ministry here. The symbolism attached to numbers was common knowledge. In one of those episodes, the apostles has 12 baskets of leftovers (12 being the number of completeness). In another, they had seven baskets of leftovers (seven being the number of covenant). Jesus, walking the apostles through those results, asked them if they still did not understand.

Who is this Jeff person? Is he a protestant or an Athiest or perhaps a Catholic? I, my self am a Catholic and I only associate.with other Catholic people. Other than being and following Catholic teachings, you are not getting the real Catholic picture. Beware of false teachings. Catholic is God's ministry and he is the only boss of me, not any other of the heritical and or athiestic people walking and talking, around in this world of ours. Thanks be to God. Amen.

🍞 dread is a metaphor to eat the word of God for your spiritual growth and hunger of under God your creator it's not a Eucharist. It's picking up your cross following Jesus Christ and reading studying your Bible. Find a Bible study group in your area preferably a KJV Bible study group with Born Again Christians.
@lishmahlishmah6 жыл бұрын
Yeshua Immanuel. KJV. From John chapter 6. 41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. 42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven? 52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? ----------- Please let me know what was the problem with this "metaphor". Jesus always taught spiritual things by parables and metaphors, and the disciples didn't go away. If someone tells you, "read your Bible, read the words of Jesus because this is for your spiritual growth"... why should you be shocked or scandalized?
@alexkrakowski85976 жыл бұрын
my friend, don''t be blinded by your tradition and don't walk away from God like the 5,00 Jews did. Even his apostles were struck hard by this teaching, if it was a metaphor why would the Jews leave him after they witnessed his miracles, and why would his apostles have trouble with this teaching? The only understandable belief is that of the bread being his true flesh and God says.

"How is one born again?" Oh, I know that. Call on me, call on me, lol. The funny thing is the Protestant denomination that has named itself after that 'how' also doesn't get it.
