I actually started with the Stan Lee run of Spider-Man in High School and I’m still hooked on it in college now. I really loved the way Stan Lee shows Peter’s struggle with being Spider-Man and having a normal life.

This is EXACTLY the video I was searching for. I got no idea about anything in super hero comics and wanted to start reading them. Figured I'd start with spider man because he's super underground and only the big comic book nerds know about him 🧐 So now I will be reading brand new day until Through The Spider-verse Part 2 comes out in 2029 edit: nevermind brand new day is only real books no digital so I give up on that option 😔

I'd recommend adding Spidey!: Freshman Year by Robbie Thompson. It's a 12 issue maxiseries that takes place in the early days of the high school years. It's a fun and energetic look at a younger peter parker with snappy writing and great art work. Otherwise great list.

Now, I have almost every volume of Ultimate Spider-man. But I need to read Spider-Man Brand new Day, Spider-Man: Back in Black, Roger sterling's run, Spider-Man: Last stand, Kraven's last hunt, Spider-Man 2099, Nick Spencer's run, Spider-Verse, Spider-Geddon, Superior Spider-Man, Todd MacFarlane's run, J michael strazinsky, Ultimate Spider-man: Miles Morales, and Amazing Fantasy: Spider-Man. I need to read Spider-Men, too.

@@lexofpower2822 Just about everything except Spider-Man lol. I’m a big crime noir guy so Ed Brubaker, Bendis, Miller are among my favorites. I’ve also started to branch out a bit and read more manga. Still haven’t read any Spider-Man besides Kraven’s last hunt (which is absolutely stellar).

I totally agree with all of your choices apart from swapping Spencer's run. While haven't read the whole run its starts out good but I know what the end is and its convoluted even for a Spider-Man veteran. With Superior Spider-Man always found its a reasonable jumping on point but better appreciate if you start from the build up from issue 600 . Instead I'd replace them with Renew your vows or Noir but that's just me. I've read nearly all of your picks apart from Life Story or Untold tales of Spider-Man. Need to get those. This video was right up my alley. Woof Woof.
