This is a great video. Crazy what real estate costs in NYC. Not only do you need $100k-$200k+ for the down payment and closing costs, but after that you get $5,500-$6,500 to pay every month for the next 30 years. Not saying it’s bad investment given the historical appreciation of NYC, but wow it’s a lot. 😮

Thanks for watching! usually the purchaser would only live there for 3 to 6 years. Usually makes more sense than renting a similar property.

Watching this video makes me happy to own my house here in Des Moines, lowa because my mortgage is $917.00 a month and those 4 to 6k mortgages are like 3 months of all my expenses!

I understand your point. People also make like 4 times more in NYC.

Love the vids man! But definitely hit up Westchester! As someone born and raised there, there's definitely places people would be interested in that are as close/far to midtown as some of the other boroughs

Dude im so happy you show long island city and not the more affordable parts of Queens. 900K for a shoebox condo in LIC when i could get a house in Malba , Jamaica , Jamaica Estates or Holliswood is outrageous

Not everyone wants to live in those neighborhoods. However I’m filming on Monday a house in Jamaica

Staten Island was the best to me in terms of bang for your buck. Just change the paint color inside. The commute to the city is like 30-35 min if you take the HOV lane.

I like the single family resident in Staten Island and the multi-family in the Bronx. I think the Bronx one would be better because you can house hack it. Yes, do more New Jersey, even Westchester.

So I will stick to Queens, while they condo's arent bad I dont like the kitchens, where is the pantry, they put enough cabinets that are useless they could have put a pantry, these developers are so out of touch, with practical use of space, yes they put the washer and dryer.
