You gotta love that C63 especially Edition 507, it is one of the best cars AMG has ever made. Super car performance and everyday practicality. Last of the 6.2 litre V8 Future classic. Too bad they are so rare - as you say only 1000 ever made.

The W204 soundtrack will be unmatched by any v8 & its exterior looks are more aggresive than w205 But overall allround use the w205 is better

204 all day. Last of the genuine, naturally-aspirated V8's. Has a more aggressive look and stance. TLDR...204's mufflers are actually connected to a real exhaust system.

W205 for me. The comparison should be fair, instead of comparing it between W205 sedan and W204 coupe.

I own both 205 63 coupe and 204 63 coupe. Both epic cars but for the money the 204 wins for me considering the 204 is half the price its just so much car for the money. 205 coupe wins on interior and exterior styling although my 204 is way more comfortable to sit in as my 205 has the back breaking bucket seats and a crashy ride in comparison. My 205 is faster but i just dont care when im in my 204, theres something so intoxicating about the 6.2 n/a soundtrack and its downshift blips from hell that crack like a whip, it literally breaks the sound barrier when that thing blips lol......i do have long tube headers on it though, but it blows away my catless 205 especially high in the rev range or doing a downshift. Also the 204 still feels fast and the torque from the big displacement surpringly has you not even missing the fact that it doesnt have turbo's......the car really doesn't need them. Love both cars still but i think ill be selling the 205 as much as i regret to say it, 204 just ticks too many boxes for the low price tag......its just way worse on fuel 😂

M156 and M177 both have their problems. I miss my W204 sometimes but I went W222 and it's a whole other... class. I was headers and straight all the way to the factory mufflers. The car was obnoxious and could wake the dead. The W205 uses the M177 LS1 which is the higher compression 10.5:1 motor so you run lower boost than an E63 or S63 with the M177 LS2. Those are 8.5:1 and run higher boost. M156's have issues with cam adjusters and intake manifolds rotting. Headbolts everyone talks about but I think that''s a hit/miss issue. Mine was an 11 with old headbolts and never had a problem with it. M177's like fresh plugs. The oil separators need to be replaced every 25-30k miles to avoid them getting clogged and blowing out the rear main. Tuned M177's can pop the plastic intake manifolds too. Pretty solid motors otherwise. I wish they would have made the W205 AWD as an option.
