@@HOTD108_ they don't profit from a lot of these items unless they're sold on the community market. Most of the playerbase can't even get them because they're horded up, inflated and then sold at ridiculous prices by an incredibly small percentage of player who essentially rule the market.

I bought a pro ks strange kritzkrieg in November in a moment of weakness when my cat was terminally ill. I got it to dedicate to her. Every single point I get on it is for Juliet. She died a few days after I bought it. I miss her, but somehow seeing the number go up on my kritzkrieg makes it hurt a little less.

I'm always slightly surprised how much these things inflate. I bought a strange Kritzkrieg for 18 keys, 23.66 ref back in 2018 and the price only went up. $30-50 was expensive even back then. Now it's $200. The PDA growing at a similar rate means I should have gotten one years ago bc now I probably can never.

For real, back then they were worth a probably like a Severed Max’s back in 2014, but have risen to unreasonable levels that are worth several earbuds. It sucks cause I owned one back when I was obsessed with the game but foolishly sold it for cosmetics that were pretty easily obtainable. I did get a cheap strange Widow maker for like 2 keys though, so in someways it’s all good.

I feel you. I bought a strange kunai back in '18, just right after jungle inferno. It was merely a few cents and now it costs like 4 keys. I stupidly traded it after a few months of playing w it, 2nd biggest mistake right after winter 2017 war paint cases

I remember doing an event once on a niche TF2 community where we gave out a strange each day for the first 25 days of Christmas to a random member, plus a hat for the class. We ended up gathering enough money to gift out all stock stranges, even the PDA, which I don't think was that expensive back then. It was a very nice moment, honestly.

You can technically bring Sniper down by about $10. The Shooting Star, while a reskin, typically goes for less than the Machina in terms of Stranges. Although if you do that, might as well toss in the Strange AWPer Hand for $60+. Another note, if a weapon can be war painted, the maximum price is technically the same as the cheapest Strange war paint. This doesn’t affect many weapons, but the Holy Mackerel and Loose Cannon are the highlights to my knowledge. Overall, this is just proof that we need a new Strange Crate for the Kritzkrieg, Gunslinger, Original, etc.
