It's actually touching to see Filipinos love Philippines. Because there can be people having racism towards our own race sadly. I guess I'm kinda half hearted, if I will choose to be reborn as another race I'll still choose to be a Filipino. It's quite fulfilling to be a Filipino, when you see people collectively have a heart of empathy without you needing to ask them that's really making me proud. Also the passion of people towards their own dreams and for their families, resilience, making light of heavy situations, that's like incomparable. Also a dream to visit more destinations in the country. But an alternative place would want to visit will be Japan. Also fascinated by the orderly culture, food, and animation industry. But top will be PH.

I've been to the Philippines a number of times. It has beauty and ugliness, just like any nation. There is poverty and there is wealth. I hope that people can find their way to appreciate all the best and work towards improving everything else to help their country rise to its full potential, because its greatness is just below the surface.

I doubt the first lady will ever say that when she realizes & learns how they look down & demean her own people/country. Her reasons are so cheap & shallow for this kind of question "What's your MOST FAVORITE Country?" like, really!? Most non Koreans who are obsessed with South Korea are only because of kdramas and kpop, as you said, the superficialities of the culture. Notice they are almost all teenagers and young adults, especially women. I practically grew up with Koreans in the US because my elementary school friends were Koreans and my city has a large population of them and i'm still close friends with them 30 years later. I've had many experiences and interactions with Koreans as a result. And it is because of those experiences that i do not like them as a people nor would ever want to visit their country. I find them to be a cold and callous people and the kdrama and kpop glamour and facade have hidden this aspect of them from people until they actually visit the country and receive a very unpleasant shock to the system.
