Pete seeing you with a batt-opp blower makes me laugh. I know you use it for detailing vehicles and other light duty stuff, just seems like a toy for a burly bro like you. Love you man.

😂😂😂 it is a toy HA HA. This area is only a 10x10 area. It was just easier to grab the toy vs grabbing a full blown backpack. It was burly enough for this job 😂 love you as well friend!

I mean, battery or gas operated doesn't say much about power. My Makita 2x18V battery blower has WAY more power than my cheap backpack blower has. Battery blowers are plenty powerful, the main issue often is run time.

Great video Pete! I have made a couple videos on this also and I have been telling people this for years. Glad you were able to give people the visual. You dont need a covering for grass seed to grow, its extra. Get your water right and it will be fine, thats where most people go wrong. We Workin' 💪🏾🌱

That plant cover seems pretty good & very clean after germination. This September will be my first time seeding my lawn. I’m doing just about 5000 sqft for this fall. I’ve been studying grass/lawn care for about 2 years now & you truly been very helpful in making decisions. I purchased spreader elite 45lb & 5lb blue heat. Can’t wait to send my work to your photo collage lol much respect from northeastern PA Bushkill. Thank you Pete. By the way this was my 5th time watching this specific video lol

Interesting, I’m digging up a lot of ash in my property and it seems to be harmful to the grass and preventing strong roots, it seems to be a mixture of ash and coals idk what the previous owner had done.

👍Good stuff. My newly seeded postage stamp size yard is coming along. Sir Pete has seen my updated new lawn pics as after buying the GCI Tall turf fescue & my late season sewing I was worried. (My dollars are few & far between) He & Jeff replied to my email & wanted updates. I’m happy w/ my purchase & w/ Pete & his folks. KY has been really blessed by our Lord w/ rain along w/ good warm temps. While I do have some spots needing attention it’ll be taken care of come Spring ‘24. *If you guys are still on the fence about Sir Pete’s products do yourself a favor and pull the trigger. You won’t be sorry. Great product but keep watering as grass seed is thirsty! Thanks Pete & Jeff for your emails. Makes me feel so much better w/ their support!! God bless. 🙏 👍🇺🇸

Thank you for all of your help. Im in NC as well and I've had more success with germination when ive used peat moss. Even if I had good seed-to-soil contact. This fall overseeding is pretty successful. And I think ill use the rest of the bag in the spring. Thank you again for your help

Interestingly enough, I had an area that was covered by leaves and it grew quicker and thicker than most other areas. I was shocked when I finally got over to that area to blow the leaves off. I had been watering regularly for about a week and a half before heavy leaves started to fall, this was an area down by the edge of the road that I got lazy with & didn’t remove the leaves for about another 10 days. The growth under the leaves seemed to be accelerated.

More than likely because the leaves held moisture well

You guys are right. I've had amazing results with shredded leaves as seed cover and the leaves break down to become great soil conditioner. Best of all it's free! I'd rather spend the money on the best seed. @@GCITurf

If I am wanting to mix and grow micro clover with my fescue mix then which of your weed control mixtures can I use to not kill the clover ?
@GCITurf

Nope. A herbicide that takes out “normal” clover will also take out micro clover. I actually have a pail of one of the best micro clovers on the market that I may play around with.

An excellent test! I’ll still always be a fescue fan, no matter what. Sadly, I have demon Bermuda that began creeping from neighbors and wind, so mine is a sad sight right now. I will have to wait though, because our forecasts have been up and down with low freezes at night. Plus, one side of my house is absolute junk because my neighbor’s evergreen (that they never keep up and is out of control) drops a ton of junk and the roots have gotten out of control. Sooooo frustrating, but it is what it is. 🥲
