Editor's Note: There are THREE kinds of superchargers: centrifugal, roots and what is commonly called a "twin-screw" (TVS or twin vortices). Both the roots and TVS use dual rotors to create constant, continual positive atmosphere or "positive displacement" via a belt driven by the crank. Kevin misspoke by calling the TVS a "roots-style" supercharger.

The attempt to correct Kevin's flub misidentified the Eaton supercharger on the Kawasaki as a "rotor style" supercharger. Of course, the Eaton is a TVS or "twin screw" that employs two ROTORS same as the roots-style superchargers (just in differing rotations).
