The only dissapointing chalice reward is the treasure. You get vials for the last level so you don't have to replay a level to fill your health.

I believe the Entrance Hall is more of a level to help refill some health before heading on. That and an easy Chalice. Personally, my refill station is Cemetery Hill. Yeah, you have to watch the gargoyle video each time, but it only takes 10 seconds to get to the end, stand in the fountain, get health, exit.

Note: The throwing daggers are not an unlockable. They are the standard throwable item for players who collect no chalices (the game had to be solvable without any weapon upgrades).

I got a copy of MediEvil 2 recently, it's still very fun, but definitely more focused on puzzle/problem solving, rather than straight up linear action. Which is ironic, because its level progression is way more linear than the first game's. There are no longer any branching paths.

for "that level" i think is good for narration continuation, i mean, we have seen zarock study in the cutscene, it's a nice touch exploring and then discovering that he had an entire base underground

Not sure why resurrection got the hate it got. I like both the PS1 and PSP Medievil games and everything the PSP changed I like except for the genie in Dan's head and missing a couple of levels.

The 3 health vials are just a stop gap reward, the actual reward is the extra FMV where Dan gets welcomed into the Hall of Heroes as a true hero at last. Personally I love using both the axe and the chicken drumsticks, the axe exclusively as a throwing weapon and I always use the drumsticks to clear the lake level of those health-sponge green critters. As for the weaker swords being pointless once you have the upgrade they are still there as backup if your stronger sword gets stolen. I admit that some of the weapons do get lost in the mix though and I certainly can't defend the camera or platforming sections.

Crazzy Crisis I edit most of my videos with the Share Factory on PS4, so most of them aren’t the best, some are just random, but I do know how to edit with Sony vegas aswell as I got people to teach me such as my sister (She has a secret YT channel she got over 1 mil views all together and thousands of subs) but the problem is the time for me to do it‚ when it's most quiet and also my hardware limitations‚ I don't have a very good PC yet‚ but I am certain this year i'll get a decent one for a great price‚ one of my best friends wants to buy a more powerful PC than they have and they have a decent that can play all games with great fps aswell as recording and rendering works spot on‚ and he is willing to sell it for just about 120$ to me. But it might be some time though.

The reason why the Bishop Piece in the Chess Puzzle section wouldn't move for you no matter what you did is not a flaw from the game. The Bishop Piece only moves diagonally (Basic Chess Rule), and you most probably tried to move it vertically.

No I didn't, I know how chess works. It wasn't moving because it was hard to orient the character in the correct direction to hit it and even if I did it was being a pain in the ass (basic shitty camera system)

the thing i REALLY HATED WITH A PASSION about this game is how it TRIED to be a platformer (HE WAS NOT DESIGNED TO BE A PLATFORMING PROTAGONIST WHATSOEVER) in a few stages, and then it went back to being a "hack and slash" action/adventure game. and then the limited health that you're given along with NO CHECKPOINTS really made me ragequit a few times. that Pirateship level CAN REALLY 100% KISS ASS. I really like Resurrection better than the Original. Only because the graphics and the cut scenes were better. The music was better on Ress also you get one or two extra bosses, the mad Axeman and the Dragon in the crystal caves. I think they threw in a couple extra hidden rooms as well. I hope the ps4 remake is better graphics than Ress and i hope they chalk it full of hidden goodies plus an extra boss or two. Maybe a boss fight or a cool quest in the hall of heroes

Medievil 1 was much more atmospheric, it was able to be a serious game while at the same time with some humor. Resurrection looked like a game made for babies, not a bad game but regardless of better graphics, it ain't better than M1

Steven W Thanks for watching! I'm glad you liked it! I've only just now finished resurrection, and I agree with you 100%. Not only does the the "comedy" kill the immersion, it also kills the charm the original game had and is reallllly bad. This on top of the poor level design, combat, and pretty much everything else leaves me baffled as how they screwed up so much. The only good thing about it is that the game runs at 60 fps on PSP and looks pretty good to boot. That by itself is pretty damn impressive

2 is better than 1 on pretty much every front except for story and atmosphere. Which is a shame because those were the best parts of the first. Even then, it's still a solid follow-up. If MediEvil was a 7.5, then MediEvil 2 is a solid 7.

Dont really agree about weapons with upgrade versions. Theres a ton of games out there where you loot and trade for more powerful weapons that will just be that: "more powerful". And as your foes get more powerful with the levels better weapons just make sense. Its not boring, its called levelling.

It's boring leveling. Medievil's weapons may as well be typical stat upgrades, for while they can make the enemies into mince meat even faster which is a cool power trip the first couple of times you use a new weapon, the upgrade weapon still uses the same basic animations with increased range and attack power, meaning the player doesn't have a reason to go back an experiment with the other equipment they have in their possession, making them essentially useless and frankly a waste of a button press to scroll past them. This also means that the player doesn't have much variety in their skillset. Everyone is going to be using the magic sword most of the time once they get it, and the only reason to switch off is to swap to the magic bow to take down ranged enemies, making combat after the first few hours very bland. The other sub weapons ALMOST solve this, but because the damage output they give is often so low (except maybe the warhammer), it is often disadvantageous to switch to them. You're absolutely correct that a ton of other games have this exact same leveling system. That's why it is so boring. It's a standard that isn't innovated on or changed in anyway, just thrown into games because every other game has one. Leveling systems like this makes games more homogeneous, and in turn, less special.

​@@CrazzyCrisis Basic zombie from the graveyard level takes 4 or 5 hit from the basic sword to be killed. First enchanted sword kills with one hit but you have to pay to reload it. Second enchanted sword needs no recharge and kills with one hit. It makes you feel powerful, especially because you need to find a lot of chalices to reach this weapon. This brings me simple satisfaction and I don't mind not coming back to the simple sword, the same way I didn't mind never coming back to the basic rusty sword in oblivion. I think this argument would stand better in game where looting is relentless and you have 1 million versions of the same thing, for example darksiders 2. There are only 3 types of swords in medievil. Ocarina of time has 4 (also same animation).
