I’ve only sat in a CX-30 (didn’t drive) and I liked it a lot, but it was small. If I was in my 20s & single it would be a solid choice. I drove both the CX-5 and the CX-50 and liked them both. The interior of the CX-5 was more upscale and had more comfortable seats to me (and had a better overall seating position/feel). Didn’t bother looking at the CX-90… too big for my needs and too much money. In the end I got a 2024 CX-5 (Carbon Edition non-turbo in Polymetal Gray w/ the red leather seats). It was the right choice for my wife and me. YMMV

I chose the CX-30 mainly because i prefer true compact and subcompact class vehicles. The CX-5, CX-50, etc. are all too large & tall for my taste. If I didn't buy a CX-30, then I would have gone with a Mazda3 Sedan (or even a sporty-trim Mazda2 if it was sold in the USA) instead. I feel like my CX-30 is comfortable, has a nice, fun sporty-firm ride quality to it, & cabin is pretty quiet for this size/price class vehicle. No problems, issues or defects to report on my 2022 CX-30 CE after almost 2.5 years now.

I finally ditched it for my first Mazda in early 2022 when the Corolla was at around 9500 miles total on the odometer. Pretty sad.

In my opinion, the diesel CX-60 is by far Mazda's best product right now. It's not encumbered by this obsession Mazda has with making everything a Miata, so it rides pretty upmarket now that they've updated the suspension and feels like a cruiser with enough power. There's also its sizing, it's just right - some might say a bit on the larger side, closer to X5 than X3, but I like how it's both confident and relaxed. CX-5 is a close second and I can't imagine CX-30 and CX-50 driving particularly well no thanks to that torsion beam.

CX-70 has exact same cargo with 2 rows of seating up, as CX-90 with third row down. The only extra cargo room CX-70 has are underfloor storage compartments, but those are not counting towards trunk volume in specs.
@David_Journey7 ай бұрын
CX-70 is slightly lighter because of no third row, which could be more interesting to drivers seeking sportier drive, but fundamentals are same as CX-90
@davidanderson-227 ай бұрын
Why get the 90 if I'm never going to use the third row? I'd love it if Mazda would either bring the 60 to the US or put the inline 6 in the 50. They're basically the same size.

I have a Mazda CX-5 2021 GT, non turbo engine. I LOVE it, the gas mileage is great!!! I am always over 29MPG combined. We have gotten it up to little over 37 on the highway. We do live rural, and use cruise control a lot. She has been very reliable. My husband has a big pickup and he loves to drive my CX-5 lol. I don't have many complaints, I happen to really like the center control. I put all my addresses and radio stations in my favorites. So one touch and I am there. My husband loves all the safety features, that was a seeling point for us. We searched for a while for one, since we live rural, we had to go to another state to get one. She handles great in snowy weather too.

@@MrsMac3099I have the same car. I previously had a 2020 CX-5 and it was totaled when my child and I were t- boned by a charter bus! The safety features saved our lives. I believe God was in the midst as well. Those curtain airbags and side airbags deployed at over 400 mph and we only had bruising and seatbelt burns. We easily could have been killed. @@RichardRich-jp9xf Depends what you mean by plenty fast. What is your perspective? I drive a 2021 Mustang GT so of course the Mazda is going to feel slow from that perspective. However, my wife has an Audi A3 that only puts out 180hp but is much faster than than the turbo CX-50 I drove. Its all about power to weight ratio. I kept hearing on You tube reviews how spirited the CX-50 turbo was, but when I got it on the highway I was not impressed. I like the way the car looks, I just think the power is exaggerated.

the cx-50 would be a huge winner if they lose the plastic cladding around the wheels, add independet rear suspension, add a full digital dash. Mazda's driving dynamic is great, but they need to step up their technology game.

The best vehicle to drive is actually a Mazda 3 made in Japan (the Mexico one has poorer isolation for road and tyre noise). Next comes the CX 5. Both of these have rear independent suspension.
