I have a similar set-up (but I am lucky enough to have the option of putting it outdoors with the extension when the weather is warm enough !). My strategies are different... I practice often without spinning at all (removing the spin thingy ("émerillon") entirely) to avoid hitting the poles. I put the hoop at the higest to practice figures on the bottom and I put the hoop at the lowest to practice figures on the top of the hoop (but that is pretty annoying). I also practice a lot more figures that are mostly inside the hoop (such as inverted man in the moon or mermaids). Despite all the limitations, I still made a lot of progress as we get so many more opportunities to try, fail and try again than during a course with a teacher.

So helpful!! I would love a part 2 if you would. I was getting so frustrated with my a frame foe these reasons.

What about large rigs (21 feet high). Could you do a similar video about a large outdoor rig?

Thanks for the tips. Im planning to get the aerial rig too. Where did you get yours with the adjustable height? Thanks
