I disagree with the Doom Patrol being completely left out of the new DCU. Don't know if they will have a project just centered on them. But will they be part of the DCU in some way? Absolutely. If the Teen Titans film uses Beast Boy as a member, the Doom Patrol absolutely has to be tied to him. Him being raised by the team is a huge part of his backstory and overall character. Maybe instead of adopting Grant Morrison's run, this version of the Doom Patrol can adopt their Pre-Crisis runs and lean more into the campy Silver Age aspects, to differentiate between their HBO counterparts. I also think it would be a huge missed opportunity to not include The Brotherhood of Evil as part of this universe's rouges gallery. Also, from a meta-perspective, James Gunn is good with doing corners of the universe not explored by the majority of comic stories. The Guardians of the Galaxy films were originally a trilogy written without the Avengers films in mind, which is why Star-Lord randomly has his mask back in Avengers: Infinity War despite it being broken in Vol. 2. The third film felt mostly disconnected to the wider Marvel universe, while other films in these phases had constant cameos and acknowledgements to other events. I think something like that can be done with the Doom Patrol as well. Outside of this disagreement, great video! I'm glad to see your channel gaining traction so quickly. Kudos, man.

As someone getting into DC, I really appreciate your help, bro! I’ve read All Star Superman, Hush, Court of Owls, some of the Far Sector book, and just finished Blackest Night. I’m planning to start watching the Justice League and JLU cartoons at some point. 9:33 Good theory but there's another story that could be use to justify the creation of the Outsiders: "Robin Rises". In this story, Robin (Damian Wayne) is killed and his body is stolen by Darkseid. Batman wants to go save him but the JL stops him since would be reckless to invade Apokolips, forcing Batman to go against his friends to go to Apokolips and save his son. Since Damian will show up in the Brave and the Bold film, would make total sense to adapt this story arc in the DCU (maybe in Batman's third film), with Batman creating the Outsiders to help him save his son.

While I would love to see the Legion of Super Heroes in the DCU, I would prefer more an adaptation of the Legion of the SUBSTITUTE heroes, which is a group made of heroes who wanted to be part of the LSH but were rejected because of their flawed powers (ex: Night Girl gain super strenght only in dark places, Stone Boy could be a statue but is unable to move). Not only this could allow the DCU to introduce some unknow characters with creative powers but also, the group's concept would fit with the type of story James Gunn tells in his movies, about misfits who become heroes (like the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Suicide Squad).

Goated list honestly, though I would like a Young Justice series or movie . I doubt we'll get it though considering the first animated series crashed and burned. Though I do think if Tim Drake exists, Damian replacing him as Robin would be a good way to begin his own Superheroe team like YJ. A good spring board to something greater, since the Teen Titan's will be older and Damian won't have Jonathan to make the Supersons on. Giving Tim his own team of actual young relatable characters sounds pretty promising

They did do an animated Legion not long ago with Supergirl. I can understand how people today don't like the names of the characters in the Legion but us old guys love them. But they did change them at one point. Lightning Lad was Live Wire, Chameleon Boy was just Chameleon, and a few others. But I like old cheesy names. The Legion could be done ala Guardians of the Galaxy. They are like them a lot but in the future.

About the LOS - comics sales don't necessarily reflect on what the movie sales would be like. The mainstream audience doesn't know Superman hnags with the Legion. A good movie for them could also release them for the Superman reliability in the comics

Probably like 60%. I think it’s a brilliant idea for a movie tbh, I feel like DCU bats doesn’t need a trilogy. You could do Brave and the bold with Damian, worlds finest as the follow up, and then red hood as the other Batman solo movie. It’s so gross we got a Batman vs Superman movie before we got a movie of them actually teaming up. Worlds Finest by Mark Waid and Dan Mora is the best title in dc comics over the last couple years in my opinion, so if they took inspiration from that it would be awesome.

I wish that the various justice league teams would have different names to stand out more. When you compare it to Marvel, Marvel has a lot of teams even though most of the universe has been a part of the Avengers. It makes big events feel more special, something I don’t get from big DC events. Avengers, X-men, F4, Inhumans, and more? Feels like every corner of the world is coming together. DC tho? It just feels like a Justice League meeting.

Meh, I guess I see what you mean. I feel like justice league dark should be called shadowpact like the old magic team for dc, but I still feel like there’s lots of variation. The JSA might be similar in name but it’s still very different. You got the titans the young heroes, the outsiders they’re more black ops, the legion is the far future team, birds of prey is usually women with combat skills. Idk, I’m bias of course, but it definitely seems diverse enough to me. I used to think the same thing though. Also, I think the inhumans are really lame 🤣 not that that really has to do with anything

Gunn could actually reverse the Outsiders storyline and have Batman create the team prior to the Justice League given how there seems to be at least two teams existing already in the Superman movie and Batman would probably be frustrated with both of them. All that said I'm kinda hoping for a World's Finest movie before the first JL movie so Idk if there would be enough room to fit four movies with Batman JUST in Chapter 1
