I love the fact that James Gunn won't greenlight any project until the script is a banger. The fact that Superman is in post, Lanterns and Supergirl are going to shoot next year means the screenplays are dope and the movie and show most likely will be too. I'm happy whenever we get these projects cause the most important thing for me is that they're peak quality shows and movies.

I think the entire DCU hinges on Gunn's Superman. The current standard for a blockbuster success is $1Bn. I have little faith it will make that kind of money. This has nothing to do with Gunn, but that fans just are as hyped about the Superman Character the way they are about Batman.

The thing is, it’s gonna be difficult seeing Marvel pump out 40 projects while DC just makes a show about Waller which nobody gives a fuck abt. But the thing is, if they consistently pump out quality projects, we’re gonna remember these movies & tv shows for years to come. People still talk about the Suicide Squad (2021). I still talk about The Suicide Squad (2021). They are securing a fanbase that these projects are going to speak to for the next decade. We’ve grown up with the MCU, but I feel like with consistent worldbuilding & character work, the DCU is gonna be the logical next step in superhero entertainment.

I definitely think Wonder Woman and Flash projects are planned for sooner rather than later, but weren’t announced two years ago because they were too close to Gal appearing in Shazam and obviously Ezra in The Flash which were coming out after James Gunn took over. Now that we’re past that I’m sure Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, John Stewart Green Lantern, and maybe one or two more will be in Chapter One before the Justice League film

It is difficult to say what the slate will be going forward as even the officially announced projects haven't got completed scripts. also i do not think we will end chapter 1 with a justice league film i think it would be better if they ended chapter 1 with a Trinity film with it being our intro of wonder woman in the DCU so basically wonder woman focused Trinity film. especially after hearing this weekend that in the DCU population in the universe are aware of rumours' of themyscira but do not believe it s real introducing WW in a Trinity film would be really brill imo.

I see how this type of video would be a struggle based on the info we have. I don't see how 4 projects a year can work. I agree there will have to be a JL movie, but I don't see that happening without Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Jonn Jonzz being introduced into the universe. I'm not even saying they have to all have their own movies or shows, but they need to be there, no? The only thing I am a little skeptical about. Like you said, if the projects are limited to 4 a year, I really don't want to waste slots for Clayface. Idk. Just seems like the math doesn't work in comparison to the ambitious nature of the plan. DC would make a mistake by publishing a Superman and Supergirl movie with a thirty-something old Superman and then sit them on the bench for 7 years until the Justice League movie (In fact, I think that in the Corenswet contract there may be a clause to avoid that), it would be the same mistake as with Cavill (trying to make the sequel to the Superman movie too late when the actor has already aged more than necessary). All these videos always have to take into account the possibility of sequels to the Superman and Supergirl movies 3 or 4 years after the first part. Superman 2 in 2028/2029 and Supergirl 2 in 2029/2030.

Call me crazy but I really have no idea why no one has talked about the potential for Wonder Woman's proper introduction (not counting Paradise Lost) to be the video game that already got announced. Gunn has confirmed that video games will be a part of the DCU, and the Shadow of Mordor devs (great studio, easily the most reliable one that Warner owns right now) announced a Wonder Woman game a couple years ago now, so I feel like it's extremely likely that they're reworking that into a DCU project.

I’d be shocked if The Brave and the Bold was any later than 2027. I know we have The Batman 2 in late 2026 but the DCU needs its Batman given Batman’s beside Superman as a central figure of DC (okay sure, MCU didn’t have Spiderman for ages and still doesn’t have XMen but still!) I think Brave and the Bold would be Summer 2027 so that we get a major DCU hero every Summer (Superman, Supergirl, Batman)

Not much of a difference between 5 years and “a little over “ 5 years. I didn’t say anywhere it had to be exactly 5 years, I just said parameters to make the video more organized. Also, I have chapter one as 5 years because James himself said that less than half of chapter one had been announced following the initial reveal, meaning 20+ projects are in chapter one. I don’t think you can do all 20 in less than 5 years

I think for the first 5 year we can only have 1 movie and 1 TV show every year, not more! Because the development time is very large and I think Dc need to do more season for the same show and not multiple different series of just 1 season like marvel, because this doesn't works
