Distributors need to offer bigger discounts, these recent sales were not enough. Take another 20% off. I mean there were a couple ok deals.

Kevin needs to look at a 5-10 year performance. Time and time again Pokémon outperforms. Do not buy any magic products. They will continue to underperform in the long run.

Pokemon has cultured a lot more of a collector base. Magic has focused on players. There's a natural short-term versus long-term pricing impact that will fall out of that. I'm not too into Pokemon, but I wonder if that also reflects in the average engagement duration of the two groups. Magic I've heard time and time again is only 1-2 years on average, which wouldn't be too surprising in modern Magic with the frantic pace to keep up with new sets and seeing the value of your collection not holding up too well over longer periods of time.

I stopped playing in person during the magic origins/eldritch moon era, stopped with MTGA during streets of new capenna. Instead I started playing board and card games and trying out new games (including some TCGs like SWU and Altered). Do I count?
