Whilst I give credit to Piers for securing the interview, his conduct on it fell far below journalistic standards. He'd made his mind up about Ronaldo before the interview. The entire interview should have started with "so your family crises was bad enough to skip united's preseason which is understandable, but why were you also publicly saying you wanted to leave the club and ready to report to a new clubs preseason immediately?"
