Hello miss Laurie, I just wanted to share this with you.. the other day I asked my son what he would like for his cake for his birthday as he’s turning 18, and he asked me to make a homemade pumpkin pie... well I remembered that you had made a pie a few days ago and I made that exact recipe for his birthday desert today! He absolutely loved it and asked me to personally thank you miss Laurie for sharing the wonderful recipe with us! So from my baby (now turned a young man) I truly thank you! From our home to yours God bless.. Cindy & Lawrence from Ontario Canada🇨🇦♥️

Absolutely delicious! Hubby ate like a 16 year old boy--Had 2 huge helpings, and he's 83! He wanted to make sure we gave you two thumbs up on this recipe! We added two ingredients...A little Taco seasoning to the meat, and chopped up avocado to the toppings of lettuce, tomato & sour cream. This recipe will be included in our regular rotations from now on. It's that good! I don't cook anymore. The kids are grown, and hubby loves to cook, so I turned the kitchen over to him! Except for tonight! He was running all over town trying to find enchilado sauce...We live in a small town in NW Florida. After 3 stores and a lot of empty shelves, he was still driving around, and still looking! While he was searching, I made your Ozark Sloppy burritos, minus 1/3 of the sauce. Store #4 finally had the enchilada sauce, and we were good to go! Thanks for sharing your recipes! Hubby LOVES this! And he didn't even have to cook it!!!!

Chili is always good no matter how you do it. I've made it with ground beef, pork, sausage, turkey, or combo of, also deer"venison" , elk, reindeer"caribou", or combo of, but the one thing I do always is beans from scratch... Put em on to boil, put lid on, turn down heat to simmer for 1hr,, let cool, drain, put them in first to get hot before rest of ingredients are added, always turns out good

Thank you Mrs Lori!! I got your cookbooks today! I'm so thrilled! A friend who I told about your channel said she had gotten me one for Christmas. I got her one of those neat blending forks because she makes biscuits quite a bit. She's loves your channel, too. She let it slip that she didn't even think to get a cookbook for herself or her daughter in law. So one of these 3 is for her, one for my daughter in law and I think I'm going to give the last one to my granddaughter. She likes to cook here at my house. She's 16 (almost 17) and in a Christian school. They had a special on grandparent's day last year and she got up and told everyone about me teaching her how to crack an egg at 3 years old. She said she like to come to my house to cook because I almost always have all the ingredients she needs for some recipe she picks out of Pinterest. It was a very proud moment for me. Pinterest is okay, but there's just something special about looking through a cookbook.

You are two of the most beautiful people. I am in awe of how God continues to bless you. I just made your tamale pie last night to celebrate us getting to have an actual meal together. Hubby works 12-14 hour days with three hours of commute time daily. He got off on time yesterday so we had DINNER. It did not disappoint!!! I will definitely be trying this one. I have a similar layered enchilada casserole recipe that has become a family favorite over the years. I do the same with the taco meat but I think we need to add another freezer. I freeze more stuff now than I ever have. When the kids were home the challenge was always having enough to get everyone fed. Now that it's just the two of us the challenge is what to do with all the leftovers even AFTER scaling back my recipes. It sure is handy after a long day to be able to grab a home cooked meal from the freezer though. You have no idea the joy you have brought to so many homes and so many kitchens. ❤

I use hamburger in my chilli, but I often throw in some diced meat like leftover pork or steak, or leftover roast beef. The hamburger gives the chilli body and the meat chunks add texture. I throw in whatever leftovers I have. Those huge zucchini we all have this time of year, I peel and dice it up and freeze the chunks. When I make chilli or spaghetti sauce I throw a bag of those diced zucchini in. They disappear, but add fibre and nutrients. I added all kinds of diced, grated, veggies into my spaghetti and chilli to sneak extra veggies to my kids. They never knew. Now they want my recipes as they feed their own kids.

I made pretty much the same thing years ago when my kids were young. I called it Mexican lasagna. Here I thought I invented that! Anyway, I would start with picante sauce on the bottom, tortillas, refried beans, meat, cheese, repeat. The final layer on the top was the cheese. My goodness, my dad loved it... We would be done eating, just sitting around the table, and he would keep grabbing a spoonful and putting more on his plate, and my mom would get on him for eating too much. The whole family really loved it. I also do something like enchiladas, I call them enchiritos like Taco bell's enchiritos. I put the sauce in the bottom, which is usually a mixture of stewed tomatoes and pecante sauce, then I put the burritos down which have already been filled with meat, cheese, refried beans, and sometimes tomatoes and onions, I stuff the 9x13 as tight as it will go with those burritos, then throw on another layer of sauce, my leftover taco meat, any leftover refried beans, and top it with cheese and green onions if I have them, and then bake in the oven until all the cheese is hot and melty. It is another big hit around our house, and with company! I enjoy watching you cook! I am wondering what kind of pots and pans you are using. They look really nice! Also, that baking dish is beautiful! Could you steer me in the right direction so that I might pick some of that cookware and bakeware up? Thanks!

A really good casserole from the leftover freezer meat is, put meat on bottom later, cream of mushroom soup layer thick on top, OR, fry up some mushrooms in bacon grease, maybe add onions or garlic, layer that on top, with some cream, or cheese, then tater tots, or leftover mashed potatoes, it's like a poor man's Shepard's Pie

I made this for dinner last night - didn't have green chiles so I used some chipotle peppers instead. Absolutely delicious - thank you for sharing your recipe!

When I saw Larapin, I about hit the floor! My father use to say that when a dish was very tasty. I thought it was something he just made up! 🤣 I love watching you! Your accent brings my Granny to mind. She was born and raised in the Ozark mountains. Christian county Missouri. God bless you and Mr. Brown. Big hugs!! Susie

Susie, let me try again. Laramie is a term applied to anything GOOD and would make you slap your mama twice....now that's good. I worked with younger people and used terms like to to describe some of their dishes, and had to explain what they meant. Gotta love it!!!@
