No such thing. What you are referring to is a bypass filter. Yes that is something that would work if the filter housing was working properly. In other words the housing would not allow water in

I thought I already responded, sorry. So the filter housing has what is called a bypass filter. When the housing is working correctly, yes you can install the filter bypass. It allows you to get water and ice without the filter. If the filter head assembly isn’t working properly, you have to replace it or take it out of circulation and do what I did. Thanks for watching

When i pull my filter it still works and filter is by-passed. This is useless to do unless you want to bypass housing entirely.

If your filter head or housing is good, yes you can use the bypass filter. This customer, the filter head was bad. She has a house filtration system.
