OH MY GOD!!! I'm so gld you brought up Deadpool's non-binary love interest, Valentine, from the comics!! I got so excited when I saw them pop up :333 Also great video, you made some great points abt the strange mold of "manhood" present in (often white) Americans, and its tendency to put others (especially minorities) down in order to gain power.

Comment for the algorithm. Ive been saving Jawn's video for a good day but yours short and sweet video is much appreciated. Ill be seeing the movie in a bit with the lady abd pretty much what you said with regards to the films content is what im essentially expecting. Also the joke fatigue that comes with that territory.

When it comes to DP's jokes I think it's just his character's type of humor, which is over the top sexual inuendo and just not giving a shit. I don't think it's inherently gay or for the sake of wanting to make gay jokes, it just is 'gay-themed' when aimed at men. But he jokes like that with anyone regardless of sex, like Vanessa, Al (blind elderly lady) or Angel (Gina Carano) for example. Same kind of sexual inuendo jokes, just 'hetero-themed' with them. - It's just part of this 'adult parody' character, similar to how other Marvel characters have their own specific recurring (just more PG) type of humor like Iron Man, Thor, Valkyrie, Drax etc. As for why straight men tend to behave or make gay jokes around/against/with each other. I think it's a way of showing affection to each other in the only way they (subconsciously) feel is somewhat acceptable. - Because unlike friendships between girls/women (or even gay people) who can often freely show affection in numerous ways like hugging, snuggling up, dancing, holding hands, sharing feelings etc - void of stigma, judgement, ridicule, wrong intentions/expectations, you name it. Straight men though, they can only display a little bit of affection under the guise of a gay joke, because they don't know what or how else they could..

Im half white and thought...i got to see this video 😂😂😂 im glad i grew up in a small town of three hundred and we were all normal and didnt do this kind of nonsense, until a white dude from a bigger city moved to our town and he was just like this 😂😂

I'm not a marvel girly, so i don't know much about the comics or characters lore. I was really happy about yukio and warhead being a couple, i think they are so cute, so i just read yukios wiki and its wild. Apparently wolverine adopted a child, but after his wife died, he just didn't want it anymore and gave it to yukio? And at one point yukio wants him to kill her, because she is disabled 💀 I'll wait until i know how gay the movie actually is before i watch it, i refuse to get queerbaited by marvel. Only getting queer content past censorship by making it a joke for straight people is giving heys code. I kinda hope they straightbait, like, the trailers are hihi haha gay jokes, but then there is genuine love and affection between the queer characters. Not getting my hopes up to

I dont know if these type of gay jokes are always homophobic, but they are always made to make people uncomfortable. It is seen as gay (if you want to use that word in a derogatory way) to share any genuine affection toward a male friend as a male, so most people dont. Knowing that these acts of love are seen as gay makes it funny to cross the line and do something genuinely gay. It’s a subversion of expectations in a way. It’s not genius comedy, but it’s multi-leveled and easily consumable.
