While Grifol was not successful and made TERRIBLE decisions from the dugout, this organization has made no progress in evaluating talent, developing talent, conditioning their talent, or making serious efforts to acquire free agents. They can't even understand that it is a GLARING problem when your ballpark is built for power hitters and homeruns, yet your team is out-homered by the visiting teams year after year at home. This has not been a sudden car crash, it has been a deterioration due to neglect and ignorance. AJ is spot-on in his assessment!

The pattern had been, Pedro pulls his starter after 6 no matter that everyone, his brother as well as the family dog knows the Pen will blow it in the bottom three. That was the formula to lose 120 ballgames. Grifol is the very worst manager in baseball. And maybe in the history of the game. Should have been fired months ago.

The Sox *did* spend *some* money, on a 75 million dollar contract to Benintedi, now struggling to hit over .200. On Eloy, Grandal, Lynn, Adam LaRoach, Melky Cabrera, as examples. Most of 'em total busts or frequent denizens of the DL. Wasn't so much being cheap as bad choices. In today's market with *pitchers* maybe six months away from Tommy John surgery and greedy agents demanding 150 million dollar contracts. I'd be wary too.

Bringing in Kim would be great, but you can't have a team President and a GM both making the decisions for the organization. That's what happened with Kenny and Rick.
