It was written and performed originally by Leon Russel in 1970,but my favorite version is by the Carpenters with Karen's sweet,amazing voice.Whitney and Karen both left this earth way too soon.Thanks for sharing this version,it's magnificent! First saw her live at Mikell's jazz club, 97th and Columbus Ave. That was 1980's before her first song release. She was so close you could reach out and touch her. Her voice was so surreal you would just hold your breath without realizing it. 😢
