I remember with clarity my reaction at the news of her death. My coworker texted me and gasped so loud my mother who was in the next room thought I was having a medical emergency. I immediately turned to CNN, watched hours of coverage, cried and the next day watch her videos on KZbin. Whitney was pregnant with her daughter in the video. Having said that, please check out Deborah Cox's Nobody's Supposed to be Here and We Can't be Friends. She has done voice-overs for Whitney projects and has played her. Deborah has a beautiful voice.

Deborah Cox is from Canada and she went back. I just knew she was going to blow up in the industry! I would love to hear the behind the scene story as to why she left?? I saw her back in 2018 in a play in Charlotte...just don’t recall the name of the play. She sound a lot like Whitney. Her range was not as great but powerful! She was a slim lady, as well.

Whitney was very good friends with Peri Reid, aka the singer Peebles. Pebbles credited as the founder of TLC and was once married to LA Reid, the co-founder of LaFace Records. TLC was on LaFace.
