We know the voice no need to comment, but what about her artistry, and raw talent. Her ability to connect with the audience while performing at such a level was phenomenal. Amazing.

#sorrynotsorry but she is still my favorite female singer since I grew up in the 80s. Similar artists came since, but none can be compared to The Voice. It's the unparallelled combination of power, sweet voice, emotive interpretation of music, and mesmerizing beauty.

It's the 90s in the meat processing plant in New Zealand, burly men working on the chain cutting beef and lamb then this song comes on over the loudspeakers throughout the factory. The climax hits and you can hear 200 men in unison trying to hit the high notes. A song brought the diva out in men that day it was funny and a laugh.

Hi Johnny, I'd like to make a recommendation for you to listen to the 1994 World Music Award performance of I will always love you. This beautiful performance showcases the power of her gift.

My dude if you acknowledge this comment I’ll put you on to one of the most underrated vocalists of all time. Someone who-if you’re a fan of Whitney, Mariah, and Celine -you’d be impressed by what this legendary lady brings. Particularly, the live performance I’ll refer you to (she, like most singers of the time often tone it down for studio recordings). If you already know of her, awesome. But very few people do.

@@bridgethegapreactions Awesome! Her name is Betty Wright. She’s a 70’s and 80’s RnB singer. She had a couple of US hot 100 hits. Her highest charting song being “The clean up woman” in the 70’s-which went to #6 on the charts. It was covered by Whitney Houston (can’t find it on YT, though). The song I think you should check out is an 80’s song called “no pain, no gain.” The performance is from a concert in London in 1992. The link is kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKqwZY2BZrSsj9E If you prefer to search, look up her name, title of song, and live. I believe there’s only one video from this performance on YT. She’s wearing a black and white outfit. She later went on to work behind the scenes doing production work, writing, and vocal coaching. She died of cancer in 2020.
