As a matter of fact, Billy Joel saw Christie Brinkley, Elle MacPherson and Whitney Houston and he came up with a song originally calling it Uptown Girls but then changed it to Uptown Girl for his soon to be wife Christie Brinkley. Then afterwards Whitney left modeling to go back to singing.
