I’ve watched you for years now, since the beginning or very close to it. I never stuck with the knife hobby but still check your videos when I see a new one up. You’ve been through so much with respect to your work on this channel alone. Moving around, trying different recording setups and videos approaches, giving away product from failed ventures (I think I gifted those jeans to my brother in law), different sponsors, dealing with criticism, sorting out what’s useful and what’s not (I found the Dalstrong-hating purists really obnoxious even back then, who cares if whatever company’s quality-cost ratio isn’t top of the pack, Redditors can be so annoying), figuring out your own role in the internet knife community. I enjoyed seeing it unfold. I also started a family as I grew in a different professional industry- our paths are similar in a lot of ways. Are you happy with how things have panned out overall? I know this sort of thing is only so important to us as Christians. But are you satisfied with where things have landed generally in material terms? More importantly, has it been useful for growing in virtue? Good for the family in the end?

Good morning, I just want to say between watching you through some of your videos and my wife getting me a new set of knives. I am excited to continue to follow your channels and to learn how to take care of them and maybe some of my old ones too 😅… Thank you for your time and what you do. What has been your favorite part of your journey and what was the least favorite? What is the number one recommendation for sharpening stones - also vs pull through sharpeners like portable KAI on Shuns web page for a beginner? Wear are you from? What made you want to join the world of KZbin? Do you feel that you have grown in the way you wanted to with your channel/channels? And how is the family and how did it go for you when you first made the decision to start a KZbin channel, was everyone on board or did it take some convincing? Thank you, friend. I just watched your most recent video and I think you may have covered some of my questions already. Thanks for taking the time away from your family and work to read and respond. Life is too short to not reach out and talk to people and make friends. After watching your latest video/post I am glad to get to talk to someone that has mad a stand for what they believe in. If I may, because you opened up to us. Hear is something about me. I am a talker lol, I grew up in Arkansas, lived in not the best part of town growing up. But, my family moved around and as I grew up tried to fit in at school and never really felt like I belonged or had a true friend. Fast forward went to college, then drop out worked and did the online classes. Fast forward went back met my wife and decided to help her reach her goals and follow her to Memphis,TN and work in the apartments doing maintenance. Fast forward worked for Nestle(not the chocolate factory)😂. Fast forward worked for Sig Sauer for a short time, had some family issues come up stopped there and fast forward still working together with my wife on our family and work life. And now here I am just got our kids to bed and writing/ talking to you. As you know young children don’t always sleep through the night lol it’s 1:00am in the morning. Well it was nice to meet you in your video today and to get to know you more as you continue to move forward in life. Hope to get to talk more.
