Hope you all enjoyed! Who do you hope your team trades for?

Obv I want Timo Meier and as Detroit is my fav, I'd be willing to dole out Raymond, Maatta a 2nd rounder this year. IF Meier resigns, then a 1st rounder next year and optionally an elite prospect or a 2nd rounder in next year's draft. However, thats super expensive for a rental and I'd need Meier to agree prematurely to resign with Detroit for a minimum 2-3 year deal which can be discussed over the summer and have Meier report anyone giving him offers so detroit can match them if possible. No-Trade Clause optional would be Meier's only way out also. Yup.. Its a heavy ASK, isn't it?

@@timomajere trading raymond is crazy rn that’s why yzerman ain’t doing it
@timomajere Жыл бұрын
@@altqq1755 Its amazing how many people think Raymond is something ultra special. After ONLY one season. Just one. So far, hes got less points than pretty much everyone Detroit traded for last year. Ive been a Red Wings fan for over 4 decades and Ill tell you this. Raymond is not that good, He's good because of who he is around. Since the new more experienced players came in, he's faded from the spotlight and now he is injured... and Detroit is winning games. I'm fine with people thinking its a bad trade. Many still think Gretzky's trade was bad today. Mark these words, Raymonds value has already peaked on Detroit and bringing in folks solely for HIM is going to be costly and go nowhere. His value is at its best now and Detroit should be considering their options for success.

I think the craziest part about Sillinger was the fact that he could play. He really did have some game, he might not have been your 1st line center but as 2nd or 3rd with good wings he'd help out your team.

Max Domi will be the next Mike Sillinger. 28 years old and already have played with 6 team.

Whats cool with Cole Sillinger too is that he was born in Columbus while Mike was playing for the Blue Jackets.

It's amazing how many teams Mike Sillinger suited up for in his career. Besides him, Ashton and Vanek I'm surprised the Jokinen brothers haven't been mentioned. They both played for quite awhile and for many different teams. Pretty sure one season Jussi Jokinen suited up for four teams.

Dominic Moore was another guy like that. He only played on 10 teams, but what makes his career interesting is he spent five years with the Rangers (in two different stints). His career lasted 13 years, so that means in his 8 non-Rangers seasons he played with 9 teams.

Glad to see you got both Ashton and Sillinger for props here. I remember when Ashton was traded from the red Wings because John Ogrodnick was actually getting pissy about Steve Yzerman being on the team and he gave the Red Wings management an ultimatum ' Either Yzerman goes or I go'. Ogrodnick was traded in like less than a week after his threat was made. That is a whole story all its own and one you ought to google up and find out about.
@idontgivetkachuk Жыл бұрын
Never knew that story about Ogrodnick! Imagine if they chose him over Yzerman.. How different the NHL would’ve been!
@timomajere Жыл бұрын
@@idontgivetkachuk Its quite interesting to note that Yzerman MIGHT have actually been a North Star by destiny but actual draft day circumstances made him available for detroit and it was seen as a better option. It was like a toss up between Neal Broten, Pat LaFontaine and Steve Yzerman. And they thought long term and Yzerman was the decision. In hindsight, LaFontaine was retired early from concussions and neal broten was pretty freaking good himself, but being on Minnesota, he worked great with the likes of Ciccarelli and Gartner and Brian Bellows, but as you can see, those were already Hall of Famers in the making as well. The whole story on Yzerman even GETTING to the NHL is something of a marvel. I remember the Ogrodnick one because, conveniently, Detroit AND Quebec were my 2 fav teams so I could at least cheer for one division when the other team was out of theirs. lol IF I can find more info on the ogrodnick trade itself for you, Ill Tweet it to you. Same name as on here. If that's of any interest to you , of course.
