@@PlaythatGuitar Oh well.... I'm playin' on a fretboard in my head....guitarless due to battlin 'Terminal Illness(Aortic Dissection...twice That's what killed John Ritter and Allan Thick from TV.....John's father was Tex....Emergency Surgery 5 bypasses in me via micro surgery, I was given 2 minutes left, into a nursing home for final home, had to give away all possessions including imposter Strat gear (I DO love YOUR Strat!), got out, then 2 years later I was in rough shape went to the ER at a different hospital was whisked in again for Emergency Surgery for 5 more bypasses as the first operation was done wrong, they had to leave the first 5 in as taking 'em out I wouldn't have made it off the ER table. I have 10 bypasses and a non-hooked original equipment aorta shredded like a frog's body after biology class and 2 blood clots in it, I have a blood clot in my right eye where the human eye sees the best and that's where my clot is and to fix it sticking a needle in my eye to cortorize the blood vessels taking the extra blood or they can shoot a laser in to do the same BUT the MDs won't/can't fix it as my vision will become worsened or possibly legally blind so I have little blood vessels ready to burst like a balloon with too much air but this will be too much blood, also I had a Femeral Graft put in my right leg that didn't work and I had to give up 3/4s of my right leg.....oh I wasborn with a Parkinsonian LIKE neurological disorder that gives me the shakes ....bad( good thing about natural tremirs is.....built in vibrato....hah haaa) So, I've been distracted. Guitars and music, especially slide, have given me many tomorrows! Always looking forward to replace my guitar, couldn't get an Epi all last year that was weight reliefed (love your Strat....outa my reach) so back to saving a $4 a month from my Disability/Social Security check and get a physical fretboard. All lessons are a learning thing. For Accoustic or Electric. When its a band I grew up with like CCR I'm in heaven, Man!!! Please keep em comin'! Yours are so well done. So cool!!!

Is there any advantage in playing c/g instead of c?
@PlaythatGuitar4 ай бұрын
Hello. I get this question a lot. Here's below is an earlier respons to the same question: "When I started to play the guitar my guitar teacher of that time told me to play the C-chord as a C/G chord. I didn't know why at that time but now I know it makes sense. The standard C-chord has the notes (from the low E to the high string) E,C,E,G,C,E. So 3 E's, two C's and one G-note. A C/G chord has the notes (also from the low E to the high E-string) G,C,E,G,C,E. So 2 G-notes, 2 C-notes and 2 E-notes. Perfectly in balance and that's why this chord gets a fuller sound. Also you can strum the bass strings(the 3 lower strings E, A, D) a bit firmer to make it even sound more richer. Hope this explains it a bit." All the best. PtG :-))

Hello. I read somewhere that John Fogerty refers to his Woodstock visit where it kept raining. Afterwards he wrote this song about it.
