I was still too young (I was born in "82) But once I got to about 10-12 years old I was able to follow non-kid shows. But then there was the Golden Girls, my mother let us watch that show, and we LOVED IT. Flash forwards to now and my mouth hits the floor when I hear the things they say. But they are just too funny. Did you like the GG? Oh and Saved by the Bell, and Silver Spoon.

I met Tony in the early 80’s at Calaway Park outside Calgary. Waited in line for ages. He had such a strong grip when I shook his hand. I was 13. Such a nice guy. Love the show and I will never forget how polite and friendly he was. Thank you Tony Danza for being a great human being.

R.I.P. Katherine Helmond (Mona Robinson). She passed in Feb 23, 2019 at the age of 89 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She had a wonderful life. So glad they included her is this reunion.

You're absolutely correct. The show maybe was about the parenting from different perspectives and cultures but what people tuned in to week after week was to see the Tony and Angela story. The "will they or won't they" get together, that's what kept it going for the show. The whole cast had chemistry together but Tony D and Judith L had the most chemistry.

"That wasn't what the show was about" is nothing more then their perspective on the topic in they were fully aware of what it's audience wanted. Multiple tv sitcoms ended by giving the audience what they wanted, one most notably 'friends'. As the producers of friends said, we gotta give the people what they want, instead of what they had scripted out much in advance. In the end that is nothing more then their own reason for npt giving audience what it wanted; at same time a excuse as they could have married them.

If one thinks about it now, as I am. I thank these amazing actors, especially the young kids who gave up their childhood to make us laugh, cry, learn, and be wise about many real life obstacles, full of emotions, ups and downs, through again, real life situations. BUT my personal favorite scene of Karen Wolek on OLTL is when Viki tells her she saw her at the hotel with Marco Dane and he was paying her money. That dance the three of them would do at 14:45 - was always done for the audience at tapings. They put that dance of Tony and Alyssa in the season 7 and 8 opening credits and I always wondered what episode it was taken from! It was actually not part of any episode, but filmed outside of one. When they did the Tony Danza talk show, they did the dance in like 2005, and that was when I put two and two together. That was really neat. -> And the final scene of the series finale....wow, it was THAT well done!

Absolutely fabulous cast. Beautiful chemistry. *Danny Pintauro* was not just a cutie patootie but a young professional with incredible range. *Alyssa Milano* was such a solid and sure performer that she could be in a scene with an adult and there was balance. You weren't thinking of her as a *child* actor, but an actor. *Katherine Helmond* had a way of playing Mona that would not allow for qualifications of who she was. Mona wasn't cool, fun, beautiful, funny, or desirable *"for her age"*, she just was those things, brilliantly! Her work on this show MADE the television industry create more quality comedic roles for women. 💯 *Judith Light* in this this role introduced us to the reality that she was a timeless, boundless, tireless, impeccable actor- period. The genre transition appeared effortless. Even the seamless weaving in and out of comedy and drama within the show solidified her reputation as one of the most versatile actors in history, across any platform or medium. She elevates *everything* she's involved in and has become something of an epitome in the performing arts space. *Tony Danza* - for all of his notoriety- is one of the most underrated performers of all time. Every project he's been in facilitates the revelation of a new layer of his talent. From episode to episode and season to season it was evident that his work would be classic. Additionally, he is *the* king of understated depth and delivers lines in a way that feels honest and beautifully rich. For example, his "I got nothing left" as Mel Clark without a doubt grounded the film Angels in the Outfield. (I am moved to tears even thinking of it). This show is iconic for many reasons, and the cast as a huge part of that.

I remember watching it in the 80s as it was one I would always tune in to see. I am surprised that its now 2022 and it seems so long ago since it went off the air. Many great memories.
