Who would have won the 75th Hunger Games had they not been interrupted?

Hi friends! This week we take a look at the 75th Hunger Games, to see who would have won had the rebels not interrupted!
The 75th Hunger Games ended in an unusual way. Instead of there being a lone victor, the forcefield around the arena was blown out, allowing the rebels from District 13 to rescue a few of the tributes. But what would have happened had this plan not been executed? Who would have won the third Quarter Quell?

Although she has nobody to live for and her only goal was to get back at the capitol, she knew that by keeping Katniss alive there would be a chance at a rebellion and I know Finnick was also trying to keep Katniss (and peeta) alive and with both these strong victors playing as Katniss's bodyguard I think either Katniss or Peeta would win. Edit: Actually Peeta cause the capital probably didn't want him even going into the Arena in the first place since Haymitch is more rebellious than him and Katniss and Haymitch are probably the ones that the capital wanted to be put in the arena because Peeta can just be seen as a boy who was extremely in love, defied the capital and learned his lesson which to President Snow would be perfect.

The difference is that Johanna (and finnick) we’re willing to sacrifice themselves for Katniss (and peeta) since they were the symbols of the rebellion. So therefore it would probably be either katniss or peeta

Katniss is unfamiliar with the forest, but the whole idea of Victor's being the tributes is to essentially kill off those that were rebelling. In catching fire books its hinted at that district four was rebelling because Katniss hears her prep team talking about about a delay in seafood. Finnick may have also been involved in this, meaning he's made himself a target, especially with his knowledge in snow. If the Capitol didn't invole themselves like they did in Katniss's games, (like the fire incident, or mutts) then I'd definitely say Finnick, but if the Capitol did involve themselves then maybe not, and then I'd think the second option would be Wiress or Betee because betee would just blow up the arena and trap them all, but wiress would probably be the one to figure out his plan

This is my reasoning. Beetee would've been a goner soon after the alliances dissolve I think Katniss had too much of a target on her back from the Capitol and there's no way Snow would have let her win it. Peeta managed to kill Brutus, so he could possibly hold his own, but without Katniss he's be mostly defenseless and not willing to survive because he wanted Katniss to win over him anyway. With Johanna, she's a wild card. My reason for her not being the victor is because she expressed that she had no family or friends left alive to care for, so I can't imagine her killing Finnick, who she knows has a wife that's very dependent on him. So, I think the Capitol would have manufactured a Finnick vs. Enobaria finale. I think the Capitol would have rigged it in Enobaria's favor because by that point, Finnick had made it clear he was allying himself with rebels like Katniss and Johanna and Enobaria had always been loyal. Also, Finnick is a sex symbol to the Capitol. If they kill him off in his late 20's/early 30's, he'd be remembered forever young and beautiful, never to be warped by age and time. So, the Gamemakers would rig the final showdown in Enobaria's favor in the event they felt she wasn't going to pull it off on her own.

The final two would be Johanna and finnick because after finnick Johanna and Beetee ambushed Enobaria (Johanna has already killed Brutus). Finnick and Johanna would probably kill Beetee. It would then be a face off between finnick and Johanna. Finnick would had killed Johanna seconds after they killed Beetee just so he could be with Annie.

The Capitol wants a show especially will all those Victor's so they would probably force another tribute into her section of the clock during the event and she would have to reveal herself to save herself from the event and the tribute. It sucks but the Capitol definitely wants a show

Well the rebel plan was actually very close to failing. If Finnick didn't say 'remember who the real enemy is' then the whole rebel plan would have collapsed. Beetee was next to dead on the floor and if he wasn't dead yet then he was sure to be finished off by someone later, so he wouldn't win. Katniss would have released the arrow so Finnick would be dead also. As we know Chaff was killed by Brutus and Brutus by Peeta. This leaves Enobaria, Johanna, Peeta and Katniss. I imagine while Peeta took on Brutus, Enobaria continued to chase Johanna deep into the 11 o'clock section, meanwhile Katniss continues losing blood in her arm from Johanna cutting her tracker out, also we know she collapsed after the lightning had struck the tree. If the rebel plan had failed it's likely that Katniss would have been killed anyway by mutts or some sort of twist by the cunning of the other game makers who were not in on the rebel plan. Peeta would have the intention of finding Katniss, which would either lead him towards the 1 o'clock section of rain blood, towards Enobaria and Johanna, or actually find Katniss bleeding out and unconscious near the lightning tree, which would break him. Either way I don't think Peeta planned on getting out of the arena and I don't think he would stand a chance against Enobaria or Johanna. So that leaves Enobaria and Johanna and that just comes down to who would fight the hardest. I reckon Johanna would have the upper hand here, we know she is not intimidated by the careers, with how she killed cashmere and the way she chased after Brutus and Enobaria. So in this instance I reckon Johanna would be the double victor. OH MY GOSH I JUST REMEMBERED SHE THREW AWAY HER AXE AT THE CAREER PAIR, so she's empty handed, woowwwww so in that case Enobaria is the double victor!

Enobaria. The narrative gave clues that she was performing the best of the non-allied, “career” tributes. Then she was the only of the careers who survived, which of course meant that she was doing the best at the point that the rebel tributes blew up the arena.

well if the morphing didnt die for Peeta, that means the original rebel plan was never fabricated, which also means the alliance with Finnick and then Johanna, Nuts and Bolts, would've never been formed, that means Katniss would've likely killed Finnick in the cornocopia at the beginning of the game where he shows her the gold bracelet from Haymitch, so really the whole of the 75th game is dependant on the butterfly effect, with each part of the rebel plan causing something else to happen which gives a reason for someone to die and someone else not to die, and without the rebel plan there would have been more deaths within the first 2 days. On top of that, if Finnick died, Mags would have no protection and would've died at the beginning of the game too, Katniss might've dies in the cornocopia if she had killed Finnick because right after Finnick proved his alliance with the gold bracelet he killed someone coming at Katniss and he wouldn't have done that had he been killed by Katniss, Peeta might have drowned in the water fight scene with the other guy at the beginning, the turning of the cornocopia centre would've never happened, meaning Katniss would've never fallen into the water, and would've trusted Johanna even less because a turning point in Katniss trusting Johanna was her saving Katniss' life when Johanna tried to stop her from falling off the moving cornocopia... Nuts and Bolts would never have been saved by Johanna when she was protecting them before finding Finnick, Katniss and Peeta. -which means the alliance would've never stood a chance at ever being formed at all and there would've been only ome victor coming out of that arena, presumably Johanna or Enabaria (sorry if i f up the spelling). Peeta was always the weakest of the lot, and would've stood barely any chance of survival. Katniss would've probably let her anger against the capitol take over, but thinking of all this, Brutus wouldn't have died by Katniss' arrow because she wouldn't have been out on the cornocopia with the allies, and so Brutus mightve evem had a chance too. A lot wpuld be different if the alliance hadn't formed, or if Katniss' lack of trust in others had caused the plan to fail

I somewhat agree and see that because the thing is Joanna katniss and even finnick have all been deemed as a threat by snow and would likely want them all dead so I could see him preferring Brutus or Enobaria to win we must also remember even when the capital captured her they did not torture or punish her do to her loyalty to the capital and her district's loyalty to the capital So it's likely snow would have preferred her or brutus to win.

Crazy Prediction: no one wins We must assume that the tributes are unaware that the plan is off. Even though they do not receive the signal and know something is wrong, they are told their plan is ALWAYS to ensure Katniss and Peeta are safe. Katniss still shoots the forcefield. Here we know that once the forcefield blows up Katniss, Beetee are both left unconscious. Peeta is on his own while Enobaria is chasing Johanna. Johanna is killed by Enobaria before Peeta kills Enobaria from afar. As the forcefield and system is down, the game makers and snow cannot do anything to try and rig the games meaning they are unable to 'rig' out Katniss/Peeta. Beetee dies, stabbed by Enobaria in the books / electrocuted by the forcefield in the film. Katniss is still unconscious leaving Peeta and Finnick. Finnick is likely to stick to his promise of helping keep Katniss and Peeta alive at all costs, and likely lets himself be killed. Katniss and Peeta are in the final 2. Peeta tries to save an unconscious Katniss, however realises that on his own he is hopeless and kills himself. Katniss is declared the winner, but dies from bloodloss before she is able to be saved, meaning no one wins.

My guess is Johanna. Like it was mentioned in the books, she was sly and cunning and we know that she is physically and mentally strong. 1. Johanna knocks Katniss out and stabs her arm then runs from Brutus and Enobaria. 2. Brutus and Enobaria lose Johanna in the jungle and bump into Chaff. 3. Brutus kills Chaff. 4. Peeta who is searching for Katniss sees this and attacks and kills Brutus out of rage. 5. Enobaria runs away, bumping into Beetee on the way and stabs him with her sword. 6. Peeta finds an unconcious Katniss who is bleeding out, knowing he can't help her, he loses his will to fight. 7. Enobaria takes advantage and kills Peeta. 8. Finnick sees this and throws his trident, killing Enobaria. Then that leaves Johanna and Finnick. Johanna would most likely kill Finnick on the sly. Her relationship with him may come into play, so that is why I think she would kill him discreetly as to not evoke emotion should she face him head-on.

If they are relying on sponsors then it's a safe bet to say that katniss would win because even people from the district's would send out sponsors. However, if finnick, katniss and peeta were the last three alive then peeta would kill finnick ,finnick probably would not resist because of the mokingjay, and katniss would kill herself during this event leaving peeta as the victor

Katniss and Peeta both having a suicide mission to protect the other would ultimately work against them. Like Haymitch warned them, they are each other's greatest strength but also each other's biggest weakness. In the end, I think Finnick would have been most likely to win.

I believe Finnick would probobaly survive, he is a longtime Capitol favorite, has showed very little resentment towards the Capitol. Sponsors will also support him, especially with his confession of love to an unspecified person. He also has a leg up with the arena containing saltwater and beaches, he is suited to environments like this as he is from district 4.

I’d say Enobaria since she’s from a loyal career district so much so Snow let her go during mockingjay Joanna and Katniss were too popular and too rebellious. Bettee could of been killed by Enobaria or Brutus. Also Peeta was kinda a weak link after u know kind dying. Finnick is hot shit, not relevant right now, and could survive but it’s hard to say since I doubt he would kill Joanna but I do believe if the rebel plan was called if he could kill Peeta or Katniss

I think Enobaria would have won for several reasons. She would be perfekt for the capitol, because she represents a loyal tribute that is willing to stab everyone in the back(unlike Katniss) and she is a huge female contrast to Katniss. Because of that, maybe the Capitol would gave Enobaria an extra weapon to increase her chances of winning. I also think she is the smarter and faster than Brutus, because she was able to avoid Katniss arrow easily and it seems like she had the lead over him. My theorie is that Brutus and Enobaria would have killed Beetee first with an axt, making it seem like Johanna killed him to incite the former allies. The kapitol would have brought Katniss, Peeta, Johanna and Finnick together in order to start another blood bath. I guess Finnick would survive the blood bath (since Johanna was the target) and would move on to the final fight with Enobaria and Brutus. The smart Enobaria would let Brutus and Finnick fight first in order to have her showdown with her sharpened teeth.

In my opinion, I think the final five would be: Johanna, Katniss, Enobaria , Finnick and Peeta. Peeta and katniss would split from finnick and Johanna. And then I think Finnick and Johanna would stay together. So being that there is two duos , and Enobaria. Since Enobaria was very stealth and quite when she was following Johanna and katniss in the movie I think she would be good at following people and she would come up from behind and stab finnick from behind with her sword and then attempt to rip Johannas throat out but, Johanna is a very strong character and I think she would kill Enobaria. And then the final three being Katniss, Peeta and Johanna. I think Katniss and Peeta would heat the cannons and go look for who it was, then I think that they would encounter Johanna and then they would stall but I think Johanna knew that if she threw her sword at Peeta like she did to Cashmere that then it wouldn’t have to be between Peeta and Katniss in the end. So then Johanna would throw her sword at Peeta being a distance from them and him having a disadvantage with only having a machete. And then she would kill Peeta and Katniss would shoot Johanna in the chest with her bow. Leaving just her . Sort of like the Marvel and rue situation In the 74th. So that would make Katniss, the winner of the 75th hunger games. That would be my prediction but my favorite characters were definitely Enobaria and Johanna! But in the end I think Katniss was a capital favorite and also one of the most skilled AND having a bow. Making her the winner !!

I would say that Finnick and Johanna would stay on the beach and hunt down Beetee and Brutus and Enobaria. But Katniss and Peeta will go into the jungle. I think overall the final two would be Katniss and Finnick/Peeta (mostly Finnick because of what happened last time a.k.a 74th Hunger Games) and I don’t know who would win out of them because the Capitol loves them so much.

It wouldve been Finnick, him joanna and beetee probably stayed together when Katniss and Peeta broke off. Finnick and Joanna probably wouldve been able to kill Brutus and Enobaria but Beetee probably would've been killed. I think Joanna wouldve killed Katniss since she hated her so much at that point and I'm pretty sure her or Finnick would kill Peeta too. Joanna has nothing to live for as previously stated and she knows Finnick has Annie back home and since they're such good friends she definitely wouldve let him kill her or she wouldve killed herself. That's probably what wouldve happened as long as the Gamemakers didnt interfere, I dont know

The 75th hunger games should not have happened (The twist) Katniss should have died while stuck in the tree eventually rescued by tracker jackers she should have been killed by Clove’s throwing knives as Katniss stated she never missed This would probably made one of the careers win as Katniss wouldn’t have been there to blow up the food Both Katniss and Peeta dead the rebel plan would have never happened and they would be quickly forgotten No Katniss in the 75th Hg would mean the games would’ve continued so if the careers just thought better they would have changed history forever

I think that Katniss or Finnick would have won. There would be two situations. One Katniss and Peeta would be a team and somehow end up the last one left. They would not fight and their is a small possibility that Peeta would survive, but I think Peeta would want Katniss to survive. Finnick would fight for Annie, killing anyone he could.

Well if the rebel plan never came together, as well as Plutarch not being head gamemaker, I'd imagine it would go as follows: I believe Brutus was killed by Peeta just before the lightning strike, so that would take him out. Now, in this scenario, I'd imagine the Head gamemaker would redirect the bolt of lightning to directly hit Katniss *purposefully killing her* as Snow requested. This would be where everything divulges into anarchy. This would likely cause many tributes, especially those in the alliance, to panic leaving them vulnerable. Now, the death order I have envisioned based off of tribute locations, which in turn I have based off of who was rescued by District 13 and who was captured by the Capitol. In order to avenge Brutus, Enobaria would likely search out and kill Peeta since he would still be vulnerable in this stage after Katniss' death. However, this could very well leave her distracted as she is seen doing this, and killed by Johanna. Now that Enobaria is dead, it would be up to the remaining tributes, Beetee, Finnick, Johanna to kill each other. I believe that Beetee and Finnick would meet as they were both rescued by District 13, and after initial hesitation the two would engage in combat. Given Beetee's age, it is very likely that Finnick would succeed in killing him. Leaving Johanna as the only tribute left as a threat. At this point it's tough to decide on who would win since they are both equally strong tributes and skilled in combat. If I had to come to a conclusion however, I'd imagine Finnick would win through the help of a sponsor due to him being liked more in the Capitol than Johanna. Though whether this would have time to arrive or not is a different story. Johanna could easily take out Finnick as an axe would have more room, and Finnick would likely have more hesitation when it comes to killing Johanna than vice versa.

I don’t think Katniss and peeta would split up. They both wanted to protect the other, to keep the other alive at the risk of loosing their own lives. If they run into Brutus and enobaria, and one of them is killed in the ensuing struggle, I think the other would be pretty distraught. This may effect their performance for the reminder of the games. Katniss might manage to keep going for the sake of prom and her mother. However, I think Finnick is the more likely victor. He has a reason to fight to get home to four (Annie). He’s popular with the capitol, young, and fit. He wouldn’t have the “distraction” of mourning his loved one. Plus, it is an arena that caters to District 4, giving him an advantage in battle.

Okay so I had a theory. I wanted to write about it, but first I wanted to get different opinions, so I came here. I have two theories, and if you don't agree, pls tell me. This is the first theory, if the whole rescue Katniss mission wasn't a thing. Firstly, I see Katniss already being in an alliance with Peeta, Finnick and mags. I say this because Katniss originally wanted to be in an alliance with mags. So for everyone killed in the bloodbath: 1. Male tribute from district 5: Impaled by Finnick 2. Male morphling, district 6: Unknown 3. Celia from district 8: unknown 4. Woof from district 8: unknown 5. Male tribute from district 9: unknown 6. Female tribute from district 9: unknown 7. Male tribute from district 9: unknown 8. Seeder from district 11: unknown Then the second day killings: 9. Blight from district 9: hit forcefield 10. Wiress from district 3: bloodrain. There was no katniss rescue, so Johanna would have probably let them die 11. Beetee from district 3: bloodrain 12. Mag from district 4: fog. I think they still would have played it out. 13. Peeta: Monkeys. District 6 girl wouldn't have jumped in the way. 14. Female tribute from district 5: tidal wave 15. Male Tribute from district 10: Mutt 16. Gloss: Katniss arrow. I stead of knowing about the clock, they go back into the woods. I see the Career alliance getting to them, and it unfolds how it did originally. 17. Cashmere: Johanna axe (Cashmere and Gloss could die on the third day as well.) Day 3 killings: 18.Chaff from district 11: by brutus 19. Katniss from district 12: by johanna (I think with peeta dead, she might have snapped or smt, and I'm sure Johanna and her would have gotten into an arguement, which might lead to a fight, and I think they could both die.) 20. Johanna from district 7: by Katniss (This is extreme speculation) Day 4 killings; 21. Brutus: By Enobaria (I think they would have turned on each other by now, and Brutus would have definitely lost the fight.) 22.Girl morphling from district 6: Enobaria (I think Enobaria would have started to hunt and probably found her.) 23. Enobaria: By finnick 23. Finnik: By Enobaria Finnick or Enobarka wins. (Idk which) Now this is my second theory, if the rescue Katniss Mission would have gotten called off. All 18 deaths would have happened as they did from the book and movie. Last one: Brutus is killed by Peeta. Katniss would have shot her arrow at Finnick, killing him. Johanna would have still been chasing Enobaria, and I see Johanna dying. Soon Enobaria would have come back, and finished off what was left of Beetee. Katniss and Peeta would have went into hiding. Katniss would still suffer alot from the lighting strike and the wound left by johanna, but I see sponsors helping her out. Now it's only Katniss, Peeta, and Enobaria. I think Enobaria would have continued to hint for the remaining two. Katniss would have to stay put until she got better, so Peeta would have to venture out and find stuff to eat. I see this as the time he dies, by Enobaria. At the end, either Katniss could win or Enobaria, idk which. Pls guys tell me if you agree with either. Also if you dont, pls tell me that and how you think it would have played out. I really want to get started writing!

I think most likely Johanna would have won because Finnick is way too loyal to kill people that he’s so close to, Katniss wouldn’t want to kill Peeta and Peeta wouldn’t want to kill Katniss. That leaves Johanna. She would kill all of them if she had too.

In the books the rebel group of victors were given by their sponsors a device that was used to take out water from the trees (I can't remember its name) and only Katniss knew what it was for. Now imagine that gift was supposed to be for Katniss and that that alliance never happened... If that was the case, Katniss and Peeta would have never had any chance of dying of dehydration unlike the rest of rebels, who would have been definitely weaker in the arena because of the lack of water. Therefore, Katniss and Peeta would have had a greater chance of winning (at least during the few first days). Does that make sense? I hope so! Regards from Spain!

I honestly think enobaria would win. I think she’s smart enough to convince Brutus to go after the bigger targets first and fight more. If he dies during this she’ll run and lay low and if he doesn’t by final four she’ll kill him. She’s a career so she can take on basically anyone left by herself. She would leave beetee as he’s an easy kill, get to final two and kill him.
