Great episode but one thing the Greys had a big brick house at braggate park and it's not mentioned by any one the ruins are still there it's where lady Jane grey lived who was Queen for 9 days

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here, but this episode contains some irregularities. The Greys had nothing to do this archaeology, other than abandoning or perhaps destroying it to build the structure which evolved into the brick house still standing on the site (see 7.6.1 in the Wessex Archaeology report linked below). Other than the Norman castle, the medieval structures uncovered in this dig were built by the de Ferrers family, who were awarded the estate in 1279. The Greys didn't own this property until 1445. In this clip, Mick Aston appraises the date of the medieval archaeology as early 14th century, which doesn't correspond with the narrative of this episode. The archaeological report concurs with Mick's appraisal of an early 14th century manor and accompanying structures built within the bailey of the older Norman castle). This episode should have been about the de Ferrers dynasty who actually constructed and then occupied this archaeology for approximately 150 years, rather than the subject of a then-soon-to-be-published historical fiction novel who, if she ever even lived here at all (and according to the official Groby town website, she actually lived a mile up the road at Bradgate instead), it would have been long after the archaeology in this dig was abandoned or destroyed. The Greys, including Lady Jane, would have occupied what is now the brick house, which was barely even shown or mentioned in this episode). Hi yes I agree I'm born and bred in Anstey the next village and the Greys did live at Bradgate the house is still there as a ruin and attraction this is not mentioned

Anchor plates. A sort of large washer, that anchors a tie rod or other structural element.
