I have really appreciated your videos over the past 6 mos. In May of this year I was diagnosed with PREDIABETES and by using your videos and others, plus my health care providers videos and handouts I was able to drop my A1C down to an acceptable level and my total cholesterol and LDL both plummeted by 40 points each. All in 6 mos! It can be done! So thank you for being one of the sources for good food that I have turned to.

All the haters are just simply missing the point. Everyone’s diet doesn’t have to be 1000000000% strict and on point. and with the way America is eating right now. ANYTHING HELPS! And this is way better than what people are eating now IMMENSELY thank you Bobby!

You don't have to be a 'hater' just because you don't agree with everything someone says or does. However, there are some 'haters' on here, that's true. And some who hate 'haters' and hate back at them. (I can't believe I'm even using this vocabulary, because I normally hate .... er, sorry .... dislike it intensely ;-)
@Zelinc
@Zelinc Жыл бұрын
I do find the hate weird. I started watching this videos last week. I can tell when Bobby is trying to sell something and am fine with it. If someone who watches this videos can't use their brain that's on them. Can't afford something he recommends? Don't buy it. You "can make something better from scratch"? Then do it, not everyone can or wants to take the time to do it. Remember this saying? Time is money. It's true. Also, don't like the cost of his protein powder? Again, don't buy it. When I watch this videos all it does is tell me what type of stuff is out there for me to buy if I'm in the market for something like that

Insulin is the key that opens cells to bring in sugar, but also nutrients. I still think that the banishing of sugar&blood sugar spikes is the heresy of our time, as with fat in the 1990s. The real problem of our diet is its lack of nutrients, which pushes us to crave more sugar. -Marie Catchet I think this French homesteader is on to something here.

Isn't it rice inflammatory? Also full of arsenic? Would you have a better choice for gluten-free pastas? Thank you
@BillyJoeJimBob8
@BillyJoeJimBob8 Жыл бұрын
All rice is not "full of arsenic". All rice has "some level" of arsenic, some natural and some not so natural. Brown rice generally has more arsenic than white rice. Most white rice that has a noticeable amount of arsenic is "long grain" rice, which is preferred by Americans, and it's grown mainly in the southern U.S. and some in California. This is mostly due, in southern-grown rice, to the leftover toxic chemicals in the soil including certain pesticides, herbicides, and phosphate fertilizers used decades before when cotton was grown on the current rice-growing acreage. In large parts of Asia, where the majority of folks eat rice 3 times a day practically year-round, short-grained or medium-grain rice is strongly preferred and usually has less arsenic than most long-grained rice varieties which they really don't grow themselves and don't import much either. They don't seem to have major problems with arsenic poisoning, so maybe we should emulate their preference for rice...
@janedough6575
@janedough6575 Жыл бұрын
The arsenic is mostly in the outer coating, not inside. And California rice has less arsenic in general. Everything whole grain is inflammatory.

Wait a question just came to me. If sugar destroys healthy bacteria, why is sugar needed as the food source for making all probiotic/fermented foods? Wouldnt just eating the sugar be beneficial to the gut flora you already have? I tried looking up organic sugar studies to see if natural sugars were actually used differently in the body vs chemically made sugar. I couldnt find an answer, everything was just talking about chemically man made sugar. So would natural sugars and organic cane sugars actually be good for the body and gut?

I use WIC and unfortunately they don’t allow shopping at Whole Foods or Sprouts in Colorado. To use the $80 they give me each month for produce, I buy organic frozen berries from Safeway. Supposedly Safeway is cheaper than WF.. wrong! Berries at WF are $7, at Safeway they are $13. Both organic, different brands, same weight 🫤 it’s definitely not more expensive, especially for the quality you get especially for produce. I wish I could spend that $80 at WF

That’s interesting you think the prices are cheaper because in my opinion it’s stunningly more expensive! I use to do most of my shopping at WF’s but now I have a hard time purchasing things when I look at the ridiculous prices. I find myself passing more often than not. It’s disappointing. I could afford but for instance four items for $40 or so and that’s not meat products is not much bang for your buck.
