I am in my 50's now with adult children but I can tell you this as fact, Billy Crystal has always been apart of my life since I can remember. I remember in the 70's seeing him all over tv and various variety shows. My entire family absolutely loved this man and his comedic delivery. It appealed to every human being and crossed all racial lines. He was just a warm. Funny and relatable guy. By the time he was hosting the Oscar's. Mom thought he was handsome. I think she was crushing on Billy at that time. Lol. Love thus guy so much. Congratulations Billy Crystal. A fan for life.

I grew up with his kids, and he really is a mensch as Whoopi says. He directed us in a talent show performance in third grade and got us top hats and spent all this time with us helping us with our song in the basement of his house as if we were going on Broadway. Such a kind, warm family, all of them. So delighted to see he was honored in this way. I didn't even know it happened- KZbin just recommended it to me. Loved watching this clip!
