Huh? Her 2 best roles came in a 6 year window, you're acting like She's been knocking it out of the park for decades like Oldman or Denzel, Color purple, Ghost and I'll even give Her sister act, where are these other roles that Gen Z or millennials would know her from? Eddie? Burglar? Jumping Jack Flash?😂 Boomers and Gen Xers will remember Whoopi for her acting peak, to the rest She's a chick on the view Who can't even remember how she accepted the 2016 election.

A thing I really love about Whoopi is her humility, and the fact that she never forgets who helped her on her way in her career. You see it in the way she talks about Mike Nichols, Stephen Spielberg, Billy Crystal, and Robin Williams, among others. She gives people their flowers. I love that.

Both my first movies, Sister Act 1 scene “ I can’t be a NUN These People dont even have Sex” I randomly quote this, just make to make myself laugh or Sister Act 2- the Mary had a little Lamb Scene, with Maria. Maybe where Maria came from Mary had Dog or Kitty Cat or a Little Bald headed brother named Bob😂 I remember both of those movies, most of the lines word for word 😂

Time has NOT been kind to Out of Africa, and rightly so. Despite its beautiful setting, it’s something of an overlong slog and believe The Color Purple should have won. That said, while Whoopi was EXCEPTIONAL, deserved her nomination and all the praise, I do believe it is unfair to suggest she was unfairly robbed of her statue as people have forgotten that Geraldine Page gave an absolute tour de force in The Trip to Bountiful. 🙏🏻

On Oscar night 1991 I stayed up all night in the UK to watch her with my fingers crossed. To win in competition against 4 other phenomenally talented nominees in the year’s groundbreaking movies - Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas), Mary McDonnell (Dances with Wolves), Diane Ladd (Wild at Heart) & Annette Bening (Grifters) must have been incredibly satisfying. It was one of the most well deserved wins in Oscar history, Whoopi. Those were the days.

There's a lot of people that say something utterly stupid and then do an apology, but it's clear that they don't really mean it, if they even do an apology at all. Whoopi isn't afraid to say she messed up and she puts meaning behind her apology.

Whoopi I have always been a fan of yours from day one. When you became an EGOT I wasn't suprised. I can relate to the speech thing as a kid because somewhere inside of you you knew this would happen. I was one of those kids who used to watch all the awards shows and would say out loud every time I will be on tv one day. Welpt guess what. I'm not famous nor do I want to be famous but that actually happened to me when my music career took off in the late 80's. Never stop believeing in yourself no matter how young or how old you are. I'm getting ready to start my next chapter and its gonna be a really good one. Thank you for being one of my main inspirations. I will be getting your book. You have been thru so many trials and girl you just rose up and transformed like Scorpio's do we are the transformers of the zodiac. I'm always looking forward to more from you. Side note girl who ever is doing those loc hairstyles for you please hold on to them cause you looked good before but this is next level. Your hairstylist is very very talented.
