To add on to the fact that you need a car, the car insurance in our state is super high too.

After Michiganders overwhelming re-elected President Nixon in 1972 he offered federal assistance of a subway system that would by now would have expanded to all of Metro-Detroit. The Big Three convinced Lansing to say no. Their thought process was that they would sell less cars. Like that would have made a significant difference impact on car sales.

Hey, guess what? Michigan has many other cities and towns other than just Detroit. Yesterday I drove towards the Motor City and the expressways were virtual parking lots at certain points. I would never want to live in Florida. Maybe you could show us what is positive about Michigan. Michigan is such a beautiful state. I wouldn’t live anywhere else. I would take the cold weather before hurricanes, which seem to be getting worse and worse every year. The winters in Michigan are also getting milder. Sounds like you really dislike Michigan, well there are 49 other states for you to live in, if Michigan is so bad.

OK, everybody. This video is for clicks. Six days ago he was talking about the best suburb to move to in Michigan. And if people want to move away from the world's largest supply of fresh water, we don't mind. It will increase the inventory of available homes for the rest of us who like everything Michigan has to offer.

Thanks for the feedback. All videos on KZbin are "for clicks" - it doesn't mean the info is false. I help a ton of people buy and sell here and this is just a video about why people leave. Supported by facts. I get hammered with comments from people who say I don't "tell the truth" and that I should talk about people leaving. So I am.
@TakenTook2 ай бұрын
@ -- No, I get it, it's the whole point of KZbin. But I've disagreed with you about certain neighborhoods in southeast Michigan before, and it just seems funny that somebody who wants to sell real estate in Michigan is seemingly trying to dissuade people from moving here with titles like this.

I dont know. I moved from Detroit to the suburbs of D.C. i went from paying 363$ a year to 1150$ just for owning a car (same vehicle). In VA, they have property taxes on vehicles. Plus registration, emmison, and vehicle inspection. The traffic is horrible, especially i95, and housing is at least 20k more expensive on average. that's just a sample size, but Michigan doesn't look that bad at the moment. I've been here 3 years, and from a cost point of view, Michigan is not that bad.

Michigan is amazing. No hurricanes, earthquakes or fires. 4 seasons and a lot of fun things to do. Macomb Twp has good schools too. Also, the climate is good pretty much all year. With climate change, it really doesn’t snow like it used to 20 years go. Let them move out. Less traffic 🤭

The Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michiganders offers the following: Low property taxes, Low crime, Lots of sunshine and low humidity because the three Great Lakes flush all clouds away right after it rains thus never cloudy for days on end, great friendly polite and genuine humans, absolutely gorgeous scenery, little light pollution resulting in thousands of stars, beaches that are not crowed in the summer. Lots of mammals. I could go on and on. Sure winters are cold but so are those in Metro-Detroit where I am from. Move UP here especially if you are working remotely. We need more people UP here because we want our own Congressman.

Each time you highlight the 'best cities' near Detroit, you always select Oakland County and farther west. I've suggested you take a look at some of the areas in Macomb County. For example, ShelbyTownship, has beautiful neighborhoods and a high number of restaurants and popular shopping areas. The schools are highly rated, crime is very low, and the taxes are very reasonable compared to our Oakland County neighbors.

I would never even consider moving back to the depressing, high-tax, leftist welfare state which is Michigan.
