Every time there's videos like this I always bring up is something that several idols have said: They are COWORKERS and not friends, you forget that korea is a country that cares a lot about age and you technically can't be friends with someone that is not your age (or at least close). Boy groups have been more open about this, but you see it in girl groups as well, they act close and Maybe they somehow are close because they interact for several hours a day, and it's better to act like that to maintain the status quo and avoid problems. But you just have to listen well to the things idols have said, for example Aespa saud they get along well but karina has said ger only idol friend is Ryujin from Itzy, Irene had said she is a friend with Jennie, and its close to Seulgi in her group, but Yeri said she didn't wanted to debut in RV at first because ahe didn't knew anyone, I have several examples, but I will give you a few ones with boy groups just to make a point, one idol said he didn't even had the numbers of his group mates and said they are not close (don't remember who), Super Junior members had said they weren't close to other menbers at all and they haven't spoken to them in years, even BTS had said they were close to disband and that not everyone is close to his group mates, just look how some have said their friends are the ones in their same year (97's liners, 94's liners) and not really their group mates.

As for idol friends though, we don't even know the full scope of all their friend circles as that's an idol's private life. Even Baekhyun himself said he has a small friends circle. I just want to clarify BTS's story. In 2018, they were mentally and physically exhausted from continuous work, especially during the 'Fake Love' era. They often had to go without breaks for weeks. Some members also faced personal issues, like Taehyung losing his grandmother. They were considering disbanding due to their overwhelming pressures and stress, not because of a lack of closeness among the members. Taehyung mentioned that one reason he resigned was because of the other members. Even now, they have chosen to resign before their contract expires, and the maknae line decided to enlist in the military, even with years left, so that all seven could come back together. However, fans should never blame an idol who wants to leave and pursue a different career path. The thing is whether she is good at acting or not is besides the point. She wanted to go into the acting world so people should let her be. It's the same as having coworkers who you all get along with and one day he/she decides to leave for a different job because that's the path that they want to take. We should respect it inside. Imagine if say you always wanted to be a game designer and currently you're a finance clerk. People should never hate you for want to quit your finance clerk job to pursue a game designer job. It's the same here, she wants to become an actress and should be respected to pursue the pat she wants. I get it, we don't like it and would miss someone from leaving a group but the person should never feel like they have an obligation and never do what they want. As for the members relations we never know, whether they got along or not, we don't know and even if she doesn't talk to them anymore and they aren't friends or whatever anymore, it doesn't mean they hate each other or anything either. Just think about people who you got along with or were friends at school, you probably never talked to them since forever now and you wouldn't consider them a friend after not talking for 20 ish years or so, it doesn't mean you hate each other but you all just grew apart.

Friendship isn't actually required to be a successful Kpop group. Take Brown Eyed Girls - as successful as they were none of the four members were friends with each other. In fact, they looked at BEG as their job and didn't hang around with each other when they weren't performing or rehearsing (all four members have very different personalities.) Now friendship can be very powerful because it can lead to great chemistry (like Mamamoo, Dreamcatcher, or even Super Junior (although not every group can have fist fights like SuJu) but it's not a requirement.

I think some of these comments are a little wild yes K-pop idols can be nothing more than co-workers but there are groups where they clearly were friends this was one of those groups where the girls were friends we do know that if you were a fan of them early on you know for a fact that they genuinely were friends these were just girls who were co-workers these were girls who were co-workers and friends I'm talking they would talk about hanging out with each other and meeting each other's families the whole nine yards you don't do that with coworkers. I also feel like people forget that sometimes you just grow out of friendships. You don't have to have a big falling out sometime you and your friends just outgrow each other you're no longer on the same page you guys don't want the same thing you aren't in a place where your lifestyle or lights are compatible. honestly I feel like that's what ended up happening with the girls. The things that they were looking forward to and what they wanted in their careers were just different from what they were at the beginning and that's perfectly okay. I do think that YG screwed her over let's be so fucking for real they have this thing with not wanting their artists regardless of what their sign for doing other stuff outside of them because it's not making them any money so I wouldn't be surprised if they were like yeah we don't want you participating in any of this. Even if she would have been able to actually participate in some of the comeback I genuinely think that the company just wouldn't want to do that. They would rather gaslight gate keep your boss their artists. and even looking at the members now with them all basically going their separate ways they've come out like she said with a couple of singles here and there and it genuinely just think that their time as a K-Pop group has just passed like it happens you go out of stuff like that. It is sad that they grew out of their friendship but it happens then there's also always a possibility that the reconnect years later like look at some of the first gen groups that have done that before S.E.S and FINK.L or however you spell those two groups name I remember there was a point in time specifically in like the 2010s when I was in high school where both of these groups the members had talked about how you know after the group's disbanded or went on infinite hiatus. They stopped talking after a couple of years because you know they got busy with their own lives and they kind of just grew out of their friendships and then they fucking reconnected years later and then they started talking again and they became friends againthings like that happen all the time. I have an aunt and I remember her having like a really close friend cuz my aunt is only like 10 years older than me and I remember growing up with her and her best friend and then they stopped talking after college because they both got busy with their lives you know careers getting married having kids or being single and traveling the world shit like that and then literally like 3 years ago they started talking again and now they're friends again they hadn't talked to each other in over a decade they have lived so much of their lives and then they end up reconnecting it happens all the time. And clearly it's not like they left off on bad terms I genuinely think they were just kind of screwed over with their companies and trying to figure out how to do things in terms of contracts and obligations and this can even happen with people who are technically all signed to the same company like SM is a great example of this if you look at the bullshit that is there WayV scheduling because of the fact that one of the members does have a contract with a separate company in China where they do acting and this company SM is really bad at sitting there and being like okay this is what we want to have come back and do things so that scheduling can be put into place so that all of the members can be active at the same time like sometimes companies are just. Bad at communicating with one another and making sure that schedules make sense and they're not scheduling shit where they know that others are going to be doing stuff. So at the end of the day I think it had nothing to do with the members or the girls themselves it feels like it was a company thing where the companies just could not be on the same wavelength in terms of what the hell they wanted to do and how to go about it and it feels like they just grew out of their friendship and that's perfectly fine and it seems like the girls do genuinely still route for each other they're just not friends they don't really talk as much and again stuff like that happens. It kind of reminds me of how people were feeling about another girl group EXID because of one of the members getting married / got married and none of the members from her group were like at the I think it was like bachelorette party or something and people just pointed out that there's a high possibility that even though again if you were a fan of that group you know that the girls were closed and they were friends that they could have just grown out of their friendships and their relationships it's been years since they've genuinely were working together and they all have their own life now whether it's getting married acting working as producers songwriters etcetera like people get busy with their lives and you just kind of gradually grow out of friendships.

I think you don't know who really Apink is. or not deeply, so as a big fan and Apink are my ults here's my opinion. I assumed you don't know the group well because they are known for being great friends, even with another former member Yookyoung. Eunji specially is still close to Yookyung and they meet sometimes. now with Naeun it's different as she really wanted to became an actress and she was always building her own career as one. I am sure you don't know their label well which is named IST, this label is just BAD and even worse than major labels imo. the label's name changed a couple of times because of different merging, starting from a sub-label under cube to an independent label Plan A, then PlayM, then they merged with Crecker (label of The Boyz). so when fans spoke about difficulties that happened to the group for years they mean that. Naeun always cared about Apink and I am sure she still does, maybe it's not the same of course but I can see part of her is still with us and with Apink. The label is much worse than you think specially when they were part of Cube.. and you know what is cube. Naeun tried her best to stay at the label but another issue that I don't think have been stated is that there is barely acting offers in IST, when she went to YG she knows it could risk, but you can't judge someone for their dream job. Also, during the renewal at April 2021 the label was still known as PLayM and not IST. which means that since it was before the merging, the management of the label is not the same, which led to more issues. they were preparing for the comeback in 2021, but the Chorong false accusations and also Naeun's schedule forced it to be delayed. YG made it more worse since they wanted to take control, and everyone among the fans knows how we actually blamed YG when Naeun couldn't be there for HORN promotions. for the first time it wasn't IST to fully blame. When Naeun left the group she literally said that she will join the Pandas (fandom). she have always been an introvert and at her own space while loving and caring about the Apink members, for 11 years! people are harsh when they say they are not friends anymore. because I am sure if they meet each other they will prove the opposite. not that they are besties, but of course they love each other. distances lead to this sadly... which is the case.
