I've lived in Sedona about 10 years. Truth is, residents cannot afford to live here anymore. Millionaires are able to but soon there will not be restaurants or retail places left open. All those millionaires will have to start bussing their own tables and maintaining their own lawns. The people who do all the work in the town are having to move out because of the cost to live there and even if they COULD somehow afford it, their landlords are kicking them out of their homes so they can turn their place into an air b&b (we didn't used to be able to do that) but since the law got changed. Every house is bought up by these corporations and turned into air b&bs. Now the traffic is extreme, the beautiful rocks and trails are getting trashed with litter and atv tire marks and it's so overcrowded for a ONE ROAD town that it takes anyone 40 minutes to go a mile down the road. People are crazy to still be moving here.

Airbnbs and corporations buying homes are a huge problem, but not unique to Sedona. It is largely responsible for high home prices throughout the state. I would like to see the issue addressed, have written emails to the governer about it and received no response.

@@livinginnorthernaz I agree. I wish there was more resources out to tell regular people what to do to make changes though too. Because I am at a loss. I don’t know where to go next. You know? 🥺

Thanks for the info. I have been to Sedona three times, and lately I have wondered if I should move there, but since I was just there in October, the traffic keeps staring me in the face, so I probably won't move there. But I do have a feeling I may go there again at some point.

Last week they decided to "repave" State Route 179 even though the road is in good condition. Some people said they were stuck in traffic for hours . I was stuck for a little while but I was coming home from uptown at 930 am. Thank goodness that project is over, but they are talking about another paving project. I don't understand why they are repaving the 179 because when I drove home from Flagstaff yesterday I thought I'd lose the axel of my truck because of the horrible condition of the i-17.

An aunt of mine lived there for a bit and she said she felt something there, (Her and her husband didn't move back to Gilbert because of that) I'm a native of Az (Phoenix) and been there a couple of times and in the summer and it was packed with about 98% of cars with license plates of other states and thought everything was expensive, but if you have the money to live there then its probably not an issue.

I used to live in West Sedona on Adante Drive, The local church Miss identified me as a criminal from California and I was being heavily harassed. I actually grew up and Connecticut. Then the landlord bought into their BS.. Jacked my rent up, Sky High, even though I was paying the rent and all of the bills and my roommate hardly contributed. And when I went to re-sign the lease, they said I couldn’t have roommates and now there is three or four people living at that house on 1010 Andante Dr. By the way, I’m still not the criminal. I have blue eyes and my middle name is David…. So, as far as I’m concerned, Sedona is a town of gossip and BS.. One of the best living experiences of my life, followed by some of the worst experiences. When the landlord says they’re going to do a background check and you provide your Social Security number, and you have a clean background check, but they would rather believe gossip versus facts and reality. I learned the hard way. If you’re going to move to Sedona, you’re gonna have to deal with some really nasty people that are wrapped in a new age peaceful wrapping paper…. Of course, I only found out why they were acting like this six months after I moved Across the country to restart my business. And the truth is things have never been better And chances are, I’ve probably met you..

The Arizona Medical Board is behind a lot of the harassment. Strange but true.

It's the vortex man...think of an old hippie saying that. It's and center of "energy" that feels good man

Strong energy centers that use to exist in Sedona before it became populated by dense and demanding people. Now they flock to town and call one intersection at 179 and 89A the “negative vortex” since it’s so slow and crowded. 😅
