I think a lotta people don’t realize how many of their coworkers, neighbors, relatives and such are just like these celebrities. As a survivor I can assure you this stuff isn’t rare.

This is exactly my issue. I recently was on a discord for my friend's writing-- she has been creating stories online for years and so I joined to have it. It's open to everyone, most people are like 17-20 it seems but we do have some people on the younger end. Over and over they complain about these types of celebrities and influencers and yet yesterday an adult was encouraging a 14 year old to try to get discord Nitro from adult men online. The person tried to play it off as a joke and saying 'they warned it was a bad idea' but it's instances like this that are SO FUCKING COMMON and make me think it is everyone. This stuff isn't rare and genuinely wild that people question where it's coming from with celebrities when it can easily be in your backyard.

I think part of this is that immense talent and charisma isn’t mutually exclusive from being a predator. People (including me) are shocked when their faves do bad things as if the fame absolves them from being bad and it just isn’t realistic
@girlcalledmango3 ай бұрын
I don't think it's that fame absolve them. I think that many of us think that when you have fame, you'll have too much to lose to commit crimes. It's actually the opposite, it seems.

Allegations against Neil Gaiman made me sick… His books were always a safe space for me and I can’t separate art from the artist in this case… I feel like I am mourning the person I never knew

🕷️ I hope we’re able to bully these losers into taking accountability and actually changing. We have to remember WE, collectively, hold so much more power than we realize. Let’s stop giving them our attention unless we’re doing it to call them out.

Love your videos as always!🕷️ About the parasocial relationship thing: I have also been guilty of thinking that my fave can “do no wrong” and see them as an escape from my own reality. They feel almost godly because of their fame and immense fortune. It feels like a canon event lmao but just like so many of us, I’ve been burned so many times with these youtubers and celebs repeatedly getting exposed as being creeps especially towards minors (Cryaotic you were my first heartbreak lmfao) that it very much makes sense to me why celebrity culture is pretty much nonexistent nowadays. I don’t want to become a jaded or cynical person but I definitely do not look at celebrities the same way as I did with the same eyes as I did when I was a younger.

🕷 Celebrities have access to so much, and a lot of morals that we're raised with are based more on consequences than with actually doing the better thing because It's good to do so. Exposing someone to any sort of "temptation" shows their true sense of control and values

New sub here, I want you to succeed so i want to provide constructive criticism with your editing: you need to “normalize” your audio when you insert clips. You can barely here some of the audio from what was not recorded in your room.

MJ didn’t do anything tho….so, it doesn’t make sense to group him with actual people with actual allegations idk….
@helenomstreken75773 ай бұрын
Dude you have to at least consider the possibility that he did that shit. None of us were there, so we will never know, but we need to take victims seriously, even if we like the artist.
@akuaboatmaa25723 ай бұрын
@@helenomstreken7577this is what me of tue few instances where it’s very clear the victims lied? Especially because they were so young so it wasn’t them, it was their parents who forced them to lie because they weren’t doing well financially and this was the easiest way to extort money. So, i’m not really trying to harass anyone but the facts are out there and it’s common knowledge he didn’t do anything the first or second time. Only mistake was blindly trusting adults with bad intentions who used their kids as pawns.
