Funny true story: as teenagers my friends and I during a snowstorm with over a foot and a half of snow on the ground, were out about 10 at nite causing trouble and bombing cars with snowballs. We said " Oh yeah!". A State Trooper car rolled through and we bombed the patrol car with extra effort. He slammed on the brakes, saw us in the street light turn and run so he got out and gave chase. Following the footprints, he came to the edge of field where we ran to so we could hide under one of the many pine trees. We could see the black trooper and he stopped about 40' away at the edge of the field and he yells out " You white boys you are lucky you can hide and blend in with snow!" We had all we could do to stifle ourselves and not bust out laughing! Hoooo Weeeee

I would ALWAYS choose to be too cold vs. Too hot. You can always add layers, move around to warm up. You can only take off so many layers when it's hot

If your normal body temperature were 99.4 like mine you would find just the opposite. 113 degrees I’m in shirts and a tshirt, winter I can’t add enough layers to warm up, it takes at least an electric blanket or height heater temp

I live in FL after being in some of the coldest places in the U.S., including Erie, PA during the worst winter on record back in 76-77 when our county lost nearly 50 lives due to the cold weather and which is often as cold or colder than Alaska as they have weather coming from there. Give me heat.

This winter I was snowed in twice once for 2-3 weeks and the second time almost a month. I was snowed in for most of January and February. I’m thankful I didn't lose electricity because I've experienced that as well.
