Vipers even nowhere near this crazy power are still a handful. Even for professional drivers it's a challenge watching them try and drift them. It's already easy to loose the rear end with lots less power on these. Something like this has to be respected when driving. Sounds like a top fuel dragster when iddling. Seen Tim drive many mad crazy expensive powerful cars but this car is in that 1 percent group that induce a level of fear and intimidation. Says a lot as Tim is good driver on and off the track. I don’t think Tim realized he probably wasn’t even feeling the full power of that viper. They have boost by gear and don’t even hit full boost till 4th or 5th gear depending on the map. Additionally they have a sophisticated traction control system that is Almost always active in the lower gears but goes undetected during pulls because it’s super smooth.

Many people don't know that Viper is one of few supercars to be in both the Ferrari and Lamborghini families over it's life. Both "consulted" on the V-10 but did not want their name associated with it by any means. Lambo, once owned by Chrysler, provided the technology in 1991 to cast aluminum for 10 cylinders but the rest is subject to debate. Tom Gale designed both the 1992 Viper and the Diablo so they have that in common too. Sergio Marchione, boss of Fiat-Chrysler praised his own SRT Viper with this quote: Marchionne told US radio station WJR-AM Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo was full of praise for the reborn American muscle car after seeing it in the flesh for the first time last week. “The car is a superb machine," Marchionne said in the interview. "I had the chairman of Ferrari down here for the board meeting last week and he had a chance to look at the car, and he was speechless."
