The reason Monika is so crazy is cause she figured out that her world is fake and the only real thing is the player who controls an avatar in the game. There are also hints that Monika would not be a love interest or even important in the 'original' Doki Doki Literature Club, as her name isn't japanese like the rest of the club members and actually comes close to the japanese pronunciation of "Moniker" AKA a placeholder for an actual name. Like imagine discovering that your whole reality is fake and you are just a side character not even important enough to get a name. Monika due to knowing about her world's code can influence and delete the other characters and the aspects of the world itself, though she proves to not have a lot of knowledge about coding resulting in strange 'glitches' in the game reality. You get rid of her by deleting her character file, much like she did the other girls. There is also an entire subplot (involving multiple worlds and another unreleased game) due to the release to consoles and the re-release on PC, but I won't spoil that.

Ok, story time. Monika over there is essentially a dating sim character who became self aware and learns to hack her own world. Very meta.

The game is free on steam, if you're looking for content. It's about 3 hours long, give or take an hour. If that's too much work, you could do a reaction to the regular version of the song, as this minecraft version loses a lot of the background scene visuals. All of this assumes you're still considering checking it out.

And DDLC (Doki Doki Literature Club) has something called DDTO (Doki Doki Takeover) Bad Ending. It’s a FNF game of the characters but Corrupted. The first one is Stagnant which is Sayori. Next is Markov which is Yuri. Last is Home which is Natsuki.

Spoiler: . . . . The premise of the game this song is parodying is that it starts off as a dating visual novel, where you interact with the girls and try to enter in a relationship with one of them, but Monika becomes self aware and starts breaking the 4th wall and rewriting the games code in order to remove all the other girls so she ends up being the player's only option. Emphasis on the player's only option, not the character the player is playing in the world of the game. Side Note: 2:57 yo, I'm mad how they did Sayori with the "Swear I won't leave them hanging" line and the focus on her as her colors become desaturated. Since shit starts getting serious in the game when the player finds Sayori's hung up corpse.
