True but I honestly think Vader was likely still much more emotional than he gave people the impression of being. Remember aside from maturity Vader had aquired a new means that was perfect for hiding his true emotional standing from basically anyone who lacked the Force. Or he could even use it to over-project specific emotions which may be helpful in achieving a desirable outcome. I'm of course speaking of Vader's iconic armor. Physical, non-verbal communication is an extremely important aspect of human language. More important than words said in truth. Yet during any given conversation all parties involved will subconsciously engage in non-verbal acts whilst simultaneously interpret the others. Then they rarely, if ever, think about it. We can just do it innately and automatically, and we depend on it. Vader's suit has pretty much completely and forever removed him from this natural and necessary human ability. An isolating experience for sure, but it does bring him a few advantages. He could deprive others, particularly the officers and enlisted of the military from picking up on the extreme emotional pain, trauma, and regret that he secretly battled quite frequently, especially in his earlier years as a Sith. It sometimes even drove him to consider suicide, or yearn for a death wish. If his subordinates ever picked up on any of this it would have been very detrimental to his roll as the emperor's enforcer, a mysterious cybernetic, force sensitive killing machine. Uncompromising and terrifying. Vader could literally be right next to other top tier Imperial officials while in blackest depths of despair and they suspect anything. Same old murder machine as always.

i think the point of the gamorean guards was to gauge visitors. we know from various sources that Jabba respected only the most capable and dangerous of sentients. the gamorean guards can intimidate the weak, and insult the strong. it tells Jabba exactly what he's dealing with before anyone steps foot in his throne room. his real protection are the various high level bounty hunters he keeps close to him. and we must remember that Hutts are very dangerous physical combatants. they are fast, smart, incredibly strong and almost impossible to kill once they're Jabba's size. Jabba would've taken a dozen blaster bolts without going down, or even being seriously injured.

He was pretty much a repairman for Watto, he loved his job just not the punishment and situation he was in. He wanted to go and explore the galaxy and make a decent living. Jabba did not replace Gardulla, as she was seen in Episode 1 alongside Jabba. In the old Canon, Gardulla was killed by Jango Fett ~ 2 years after the Phantom Menace, as part of a bounty he was assigned to capture. She basically disappears from that and isn't seen again, and she doesn't appear in any further Star Ward content. My theory: if current Canon doesn't explain it, the old EU canon would be true. So she is dead, and Jabba consolidated her power into his.

I don’t know about the case for why Vader didn’t kill Jabba… but I think your spot on about the duality of Vader and his ultimate “want” of revenge against Palpatine. His need to constantly be suppressing from himself his true thoughts and feelings is very Orwell 1984 and exactly what all citizens of the Empire in any position of power with ambitions beyond blind loyalty would have had to practice. In fact, the idea of Vader having a long play against the Emperor sheds a whole new light on the scene in Return of the Jedi between the Emperor and Luke. I think m post back in 83 and many to this day believed that Vader’s hesitancy to step in when the Emperor was attacking Luke was because of his internal struggle with good and evil. But, if you are correct, and I think you are, it might not have been the hesitation of indecision, but more the waiting for a precisely calculated moment, like Captain Ramius in Red October, to take action. The exact moment when the Emperor had expended enough energy that Vader could overpower him was the exact moment that he acted.

One of my least favorite things about the cartoons, comics and now shows, is how everyone knows about Jabba, and pretty much every other random bounty hunter and smuggler. I don’t think Jabba was supposed to be well known in the universe. He was a powerful crime lord, but in a universe as big as the Star Wars universe, I like the idea that the empire didn’t even know about him. This then explains why it takes Chewie and Lando years to find Jabba’s palace-because it’s a secret criminal hangout, not a place that you just fly out Jedi star fighter to to have a chat with the Hutt :P

Well ; Jedis didn’t really make him « suffer » for his transgressions. Jedis actually never humbled Anakin. Only in losing everything to Palpatine’s manipulation did he really had to pay a hefty price for obeying his feelings over expectations of others. But, yeah, his redemption arc is complex and complete, and i think that’s what makes him a compelling character, beyond a simple villain.

Secret fleet on Exegol required a vast amount of resources, the New Republic didn't follow the money or unearthed all of the Empire's secrets by VII decades later. His ego got absolutely destroyed on Mustafar. This was his greatest weakness. Obi Wan in his victory on Mustafar actually made Anakin far more dangerous of an individual than any of his training did while Anakin was his Padawan.

The whole mustafar thing humbled him as this time there were personal consequences and he faced limitations that as the Golden boy he never faced before. That said it did change his world outlook from the pup that saw the grey. Prior he might had pretended to see the gray but by his actions it was clear his outlook was still black and white. Regretful that it took that but less pitiful than a grizzled old dog who can only see in black and white even when surrounded by grey

Its not unprecidented. Most jedi that completely understood the force and why there should be balance experienced or dabbled with both sides. Obi Wan, Qui Gon, Revan, and even Luke felt, managed and understood the pull of the dark side at difference quantities. Some obviously handled it better than others.

He was added because George was bored and kept tinkering with the movies. Oh, and now he could sell DVDs of the special edition to further enrich himself.

So she had allot of money for the originals. But if he made SEs. He wouldn't have to pay her. Watch the Special Editions on adding Jabba. It's pretty cool. They finished a deleted scene and added it back.

But the media would have connected Darth Vader to Palpatine's pet Jedi Anakin Skywalker. Until they were silenced, they would have trumpeted the link, and it would have gotten to Tattooine, where Anakin Skywalker would have a been a hero to ex-slaves. And when Luke came along and talked about his dad Anakin, his classmates would have recognized him as Darth Vader's son. He wouldn't have been Wormy, he would have been Baby Vader.
