Some toys that say they have catnip put about 3 stems and leaf. It better to buy it offline. Insert into toys. I'm going to try the tea bag catnip. Less messy. Petsmart is terrible about claiming catnip is in their toys

I assume the catnip in toys must be stale. Fresh catnip seems to drive my 2 cats crazy. Doesn’t last long but sure is fun to watch.

I end up just spraying the toys with a catnip mist spray. I feel like the catnip used in most toys and scratchers is the cheapest dirt nip they can find.

Cats also respond to honeysuckle wood & gall fruit.... & the rubber backing on bath rugs. You're right, valerian root is very stinky, sour, pungent, & earthy.

I love the cheap price of Walmart's catnip, but it's very twiggy/stemmy & the cats seem to wanna eat it instead of roll in it.

I've always had success with the Yeowww catnip brand. It's not the cheapest, but my cats go nuts for it. I've tried other brands and they don't have the same effect on them. When I need to be more budget friendly and mess free, I opt for the Smarty Kat Catnip Mist. When they hear me spraying they come out of the woodwork lol

I have got this Catnip spray and it does not smell at all. Sure if i spray it on a sock my cats will wrestle with it but i might just have to taste it now.

Even more bizarre; this certain indoor/outdoor plant that has cut peoples opinions in half on the table of politics making it legal in some states of USA, in some countries it has been decriminalized (by now you should know what im talking about) is something that acts like the Catnip either because of it´s smell or something. I have heared that cats actually eat it (not to create vomiting reflex - but since it´s not part of their diet and from what i´ve heared it does not effect cat in a relaxing etc. ways why would they do that?) PS. I´m not an idiot so i´m not taking chances with my cats health feeding them with such plants that could potentially harm them. Just curious.
