Penny boarding is individual, distinctive, and a laid-back, cool vibe. It gets right back to the roots of the sport. Everything about it is pure pleasure , from the sharpness of the turns to the smoothness of the ride, to the convenience of something you can throw in a backpack. Pennyboarding is a smile in skateboard form. Thanks for reminding us, Tyler. Excellent as ever!

I would like to add a point here that I think is kinda important.. That is that "most" people who ride them don't really use them to do tricks in the streets/etc, and it's considered a very "chill" form of short range transportation, and due to the wheels they are usually quite quiet in comparison to other skateboards. It's kinda like the small Fiat on a road VS a suped up sports car. 😂 They aren't ment to go fast, and be flashy.. Just to get around on really. Kinda the skateboarding version of a moped (not saying that in a bad way), but from a performance perspective.
@pennyboardtyler2 жыл бұрын
Neat perspective! It definitely is not meant for tricks and is less flashy for sure. Thanks for commenting!

I ride a 28"cruiser board...The thing i've noticed with smaller boards is , you have more advantage with tricks & maneuverability in tighter spots than you would using larger boards.. 🏄♂️

I like penny boards for taking on my boat and visiting little towns on the water in the PNW. I am less worried about the wood warping, and it isn’t the end of the world if it goes flying off the dock when I am being drunk and foolish. Sometimes I leave the dinghy at home and take the penny 🤷🏼♂️

Very good job! I personally have 3 "rolling objects": a longboard, a cruiser and a mini cruiser, which is equivalent to a penny board. Yeah, it's all about the vibes and I can say: a mini is really addictive!

First off, where did you get that "A Chorus Line" shiny gold Penny board, Tyler?! 🙂 Penny boards have a really nice, smooth, oftentimes quieter ride than a lot of other skateboards, which I really appreciate, and thus they really do have their own unique vibe, I agree. And, they're just so much fun to ride and to own. Take most of them anywhere, anytime, and R I D E!

Look... it's a feeling. That's what Tony Alva said. It's a the feeling of surfing and freedom. I have antihero decks, dogtown decks, heroin decks and I love them all, but those penny boards are super rad. I also skate a 1977 Alva deck a lot and I'm addicted

Hi Tyler, do you have a specific backpack where the whole Penny boards fit and you can close the backpack, too? Mine is just too short. I was thinking about getting a backpack with a rolled top (rolltop) or maybe even a long hiking backpack. Outside of my normal skate backpack the small Penny is weird and the official Penny backpack is sold out…
@pennyboardtyler2 жыл бұрын
Hi Denise, an alternative option to the Penny backpack is a something like a Simbow Backpack (amzn.to/3P2U5HQ). This is similar where a Penny board can clip on to the outside. Besides this, I often use my duffle bag straps to carry my board too if I don't have my backpack

People literally hate me for riding theses man why are so many skaters so hateful I don’t even go to skateparks anyways
@pennyboardtyler Жыл бұрын
It’s such a shame that people give out hate. Typically, people usually hate out of ignorance and/or insecurity so my best advice is to just do you and what you enjoy and do your best to ignore any potential hate given to you.

Kryptonics torpedo with Bones bearings has been my favorite for decades. I have a green one and a blue one. I put some Shark wheels on the green one and wooooooo I love it! I'm not riding to impress anyone but me. I love mine. I have an early 1970s Duraflex that's so mean and fast I won't ride it. And it bows down so low it almost scrapes the ground which is what it's supposed to do. Terrifying. Sometimes I trick other people into trying it but they only do it once. I got my first board in 1975 and it was this size. In the 80s and early 90s I messed with ...I think it was 10x30. I have a 10x32 now but it just feels way to big and I hit my ankles alot. I prefer my torpedo

Hello! im thinking of buying one, which would be better the 22 inch or 27?
@pennyboardtyler Жыл бұрын
All depends on what you want to do with it and your experience level - if you’re a beginner, I’d typically recommend the 27-inch as it has you’d have better stability, balance, and control (because it has a larger surface area). If you’re experienced and/or travel often, I’d recommend the 22-inch as it’s the most portable board
@INDIANXxhgpp99074 ай бұрын
be careful while riding the 22 inch bcz it may give you less balance and severe foot pain.
