I’m 23, and for all you teens out there, I have one piece of advice. When you go somewhere for a few days that you know is gonna be one of the best things you’ll do for a while, (for example, for me, it was a school football tour with my mates, and a trip to Germany with my best friends), listen to 4 or 5 songs only, whenever you have the time in that trip. They don’t have to be songs that u love, and u can do other things while you’re listening. What that did for me was, whenever I listened to those songs in the future, I had such nostalgia. Please, just try it.

I heard nostalgia is the process of mourning lost futures. You were alive in that moment in lets say 1995, or 2001 or 2011, listening to your favourite song. But in that moment there was a life path, that you were just so sure you were on. In a moment of clarity, when you now listen to that old song again, you remember that path you thought you were on back then, when you used to listen to that particular song all the time... and you realise you went in a completely different direction. It is almost certain you went on another path than the approximate one you imagined you were on back then, as your young inexperienced brain at that time was making a poor estimation of what's likely in the future, mix that with the unpredictable change of culture over the time span between then and now (you probably hadn't accounted for it back then either) and then finally mix all that with the change in your own tastes... these changes likely lead you on a completely different path and since that time you have lived a very different life from the one you thought you would lead. Your values are different, your emotions are different, the job you do, the relationships you have. All different. That is fine. But all those hopes and dreams that you never did realize, there wasn't a day when you said goodbye to them all. Some were altered, some were replaced, most you forgot until your whole world view was radically different, it happened just a little bit, day by day. When you hear that bit of music though and suddenly it's 2011 again, and suddenly you're in your first apartment, with that partner, the one you'd always meet at that bar that doesn't exist anymore, and who you keep in touch with back then on a form of media that is no longer used, you remember that old path you thought you were on, it was simplistic and comforting seeming, you realise it has completely vanished and was a mere fiction that existed in a fleeting moment. You miss your belief in it. You mourn the future you thought you'd be living in that never came to fruition. You mourn lost futures. And the future you now imagine you will have over the next 10 years... it will turn out totally differently too. And then you will miss the future you imagine you'll have now, in 2019, when its 2029! And you will call this time simpler and be sad for it's passing. And then you'll repeat it again!

You know I’m really glad I found this video. Because every so often I just get nostalgic about the first month after I was born I can remember everything from back then. I lived in my aunts house while my mom went training for something with EHR or something. I remember playing connect four in the kitchen of my aunts house. Eating the wax fruits thinking that they were actually edible. Playing with the light bright in the hallway but best of all snack wise, eating a honeycomb cereal straight from the box. Playing with the ceiling fans and the pump organ. (which I have in my house now). Boy I could just go on and on and on and on about this but my little fingers can only type so much. When I got that old pump organ back all those memories are flooding in and there was a song that kind of started to represent that it’s called the chill piano guy is ambient by MK and the song abruptly ends just like those memories in my aunts house she no longer lives there anymore so I’m really sad about that. Before we continue if you’re reading all of this you’ve got a great reading skills! And I’ve got great typing skills. Anyways, just like the memories ending seemingly abrupt. That song ends abruptly. I really get really sad about it sometimes because things were crazy after I was born and when I was in that house the first time I ever felt at peace. I’m kind of starting to tear up a little bit. But of course you can’t hear me through this. thank you for your time. 😢 ❤ also please consider subscribing to my KZbin channel actually posted a couple videos about that organ I talked about.

So I went and played it again, as of course I still have all my games. I had forgotten entirely that you had to switch PC boxes manually, and if you don't, you can't catch pokemon til you do. And then something used Wrap on me. It was a great game and I had a lot of fun with it, and I had a lot of fun playing through it again.
