There is something to be said about the oppressive servitude of Order versus the absolute freedom (and destruction) of Chaos. The Devil is both the first to rebel against slavery, but also deeply selfish and pitiful (if we are talking about Milton and Dante)

I think it speaks to the inherently contradictory nature of humans in that we deeply crave both, but we have to give up some of each to live our lives. It isn't feasible to live entirely free in society, as we're bound by laws and social agreements, while absolute order is suffocating and miserable. It's something I find really interesting.

Fantastic video. You pretty much were spot on with your reasoning. There's a reason why I love the demons of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. There's a reason why I sympathize with the demons in Demon Slayer and Promised Neverland. And there's a reason why a few of my mutuals love the demons in horror media. We are able to relate to them on some level, because of our identity, and/or because of our humanity.

Once you feel a bit better you should try reading the Lucifer comics from the sandman universe there are two different series and both are actually good. And i will always be mad that the Lucifer tv series is based off of them because no its not

i remeber reading good omens when i was in high school and being so absolutely in love with it because it was one of the first times id ever seen a "maybe the ones that are evil aren't fully bad" sorts of novels or shows. i loved the dark souls series having us kill the bed of chaos and then slowly realize that we effectively destroyed a race with that single action, it made me feel bad for killing the old demon king in DS3, especially when he started panting near the end. that bayonetta section makes me want to play the entire bayonetta series now... i already did but like even more now lol, the entirety of the castlevania animated show is amazing, but Isaac and his Night Creature friends story line was my favorite part of the show, i still need to watch Nocturne though, final thing is a question, what is the game you put in the background with Fenton in it? totally not going to play it because he's attractive lmao
