I don't know... my first name is Antoinette, not a good start lol However, I married a man whose last name means love in Italian and 44 yrs. later it's still holds true. Hashem gave me the right person for those times when I think I'm losing my head. I am forever grateful.:o)

I think the Rabbi is spot on in his analysis of names. I'm named after my aunt's ( my mom's sister) middle name which is Antoinette. We have a lot of the same characteristics. We both love to cook, bake, clean and enjoy entertaining family and friends. I believe as do the Jews, she is a staunch Catholic. That matters not either bc we respect the right for people to believe as they choose. What matters most is how we treat one another. If we are superior or condescending we can't teach anyone anything. :o)

My parents gave me the name Victoria. It is the Latin word which means “victory” or “conquer”. My middle name was Alexandria which in Greek is a feminine form of Alexander which means defender of men.

No need to convert. Best for you to follow the Seven Commandments of Noah and you will be a righteous person, live a wonderful life and have a share in the World to Come. If for some reason you insist on conversion then it has to be an Orthodox Jewish conversion which only an Orthodox Jewish Law court can give. Check out your local Chabad Lubavitch rabbi and ask him. Good decision, but make sure it is through the Orthodox and then you will be accepted by everyone. The Chabad movement would a good place to start as they are very sincere and do everything in strict accordance with Jewish law.

Gutman is Yiddish, and means Good man...at least that was the hope when they gave me the name. I am named after my mother's father. It is a fairly common family name, but a very rare first name. Locks is my family name.
